Same here. My hatch leaked and all I had to do was tighten the screws in the two handles that lock it in place. No more leaks. Did it over a year ago.

I have a mid-1990 Evinrude 90 two-stroke (pre E-Tec?) that I installed a permatrim on. Yes, it was scary drilling the holes but I have had it for 2+ years and all seems well. Seems to help in the chop. I do not have trim tabs either.

John, My local Pep Boys do not carry a/c units...nor does the Wal Mart...and yes, I live in the Mojave Desert!? So, can you give me more details of the name, item #, etc of that second a/c unit you use so I can see if I can find it on-line? Thanks, Jeff

I've got a 6hp Tohatsu 4-stroke kicker on my 22 and it works fine and I also use it on my dinghy at Catalina and such places. I use a seperate fuel tank for it as another "back-up" in case my main fuel tanks are compromised in any way. Mine is in a slip at HB and as a fellow Brat here...

Congrats on the new boat. It looks beautiful!!!! Keep an eye out for "C-Pelican" when at Catalina as I try to get over there as often as possible. I also started diving again after a 30-year hiatus. Jeff
