"LOOKING FOR C-DORY", at first thought i'm thinking well there is a list of various c-dory's for sale, right on the first page of c-brat. so, why not start with that list, the year, price and assorted details are all there.
my second thought was, why not be direct and change the post top read, looking for c-dory at distressed sale price. i'm a direct kind of guy. i have no problem letting the owner know i'm am in this for a deal, and most importantly i let him know right up front. no hard feelings, that's just the way it is.
having said that, some of you may have seen, for a brief period of time, i posted my c-dory for sale. i received many emails asking for info and price, even though i had documented price and info in my ad. i received several lame offers, the offers were made in a simular amateur, fashion, oh, it has this but i want that, type stuff. i removed my ad and decided to keep my boat. anyone who has taken a course in negotiations will tell you, the best deal, on both sides of the table, is struck just before the point where both parties get up from the table and leave. if you are the seller of a boat and after the deal you like the buyer, the buyer paid to much, if you are the buyer and after the deal you like the seller, the seller sold for to little. when neither side is happy with the other, the seller sold for no more than necessary and the buyer paid no more than necessary.
just my way of thinking, what you see is exactly what you get, no hidden agenda.
best regards to all

ps; when i finish a deal, i like the seller!
