Agree with Roger, it was just put in the brackets upside down. I have a piece of SS cable whch attatches my swim ladder to the hand rails. I would hat to loose that puppy! Most boats come with plastic clips which go on the back of the transom, and the ladder is stowed that way. I have seen other boat run with the ladder in that position. I would still secure it. Also not leave it out in the marina. Sometimes thinks "walk".
I mentioned to the Armstrong folks that my clip which kept it in place in the water seemed a little loose at a boat show. He reached into a bag, and gave me a new one, he said might be slightly tighter.
