Stuberg-
I do not like to post messages like the following, but feel I have no choice but to speak out with what I feel is the truth for my fellow C-Brats to consider.
In my 35 years of teaching, I've had to deal with, figure out, and finally do something about persons such as you.
I believe the following characterizes your interactions on this site so far:
On the surface, you want to appear friendly, objective, reasonable, and willing to play by the rules.
However, if one reads through all of your posts on this thread, one inevitably is led to the following conclusions:
There is a duplex or double level transaction going on here in which you want to appear friendly, but are really trying to stir up as much trouble, misunderstandings, and hurt feelings as possible.
You crave the attention you receive, both good and bad, and revel in the problems it creates. You care very much about the attention you receive, and indeed appear to enjoy the conflict and hurt feelings. You have a cavalier attitude about all of this, and intend to go on indefinitely. You're having great fun.
Flagold's reference to the website which describes Internet Trolls is a perfect fit for you.
You are here on the pretense of just being another good fellow who bought a different boat and who wants to share information with everyone. However, if that were true, the level of disturbance and ill-will generated would not be so very high.
Granted, some of our members are upset at some of the developments with the Cape Cruiser controversy, but that alone does not begin to account for the continued agitation, ill-will, and hurt feelings that continue to characterize the reaction to your posts and especially to the perceived underlying motivation behind them.
Many of us can see through the transparent public face you try to generate in these posts and see what lurks behind. You are here to cause trouble and disruption, not friendship and understanding.
This has always been such a wonderful, caring group of people who have bent over backwards to avoid serious conflict, although some friendly kidding goes on from time to time between friends, just to add humor and entertainment value to our fun with each other.
All in all, you don't fit into this group, and it isn't the Cape Cruiser that's the misfit. It's you. Find somewhere else to do your thing! Joe.
