Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays 2016

Dear Friends, Brats all.

Just wanting to wish each one a Very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or whatever you celebrate during this season. Maybe it is just celebrating staying in and avoiding a rollover or a hip fracture and a case of frost bite.

For 10 years now, C-BRATS has been a staple in my life. Sometimes more than others, and as time passed, it went from being names on a screen to faces handshakes and hugs, and memories of not only friends, but friends in places, some far away, some close by, but all fun. Some challenges, some easy as pie, some group efforts, and some individual accomplishments. Some of us are in the warm and sunny south, some are up north in frozen tundra, and we are all either still boating or thinking about it and about how our boat is doing while we are not using it.

Over those 10 years I have had a chance to cruise with some, meet others at the CBGT’s, and make friends via PM and text on the site. Many here are like family, and through sharing all of the above, have become close. Thanks to you for your participation here, for your friendship and for exemplifying the basic rule “Just Be Nice”

All the best in the coming year, hoping to see, and meet still more through the New Year.

Well Said Harvey! I agree.

I see this as an opportunity to those who have not become one of the "family" by joining in the cruises, gathering, and personal contact which occurs daily among the members to take the plunge and go to a gathering. Some of the greatest people you will meet will be there!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of our extended family.

Well said Harvey..... excellent post!
A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well.
It was a pleasure to cruise with you for the few days we had after the Powell River CBGT, and hope to do it again in the near future... stay safe over the holidays!

Merry Christmas everyone! From C Brats who fish, cruise, invent, perfect, like marinas or anchoring, plan gatherings or plan tons for a cruise or just get on the boat and go, we have enjoyed you all in our involvement.
We look forward to a great 2017 and to cherishing each moment on the water and with fellow C Brats.

Merry Christmas guys! It's a balmy 42 degrees here in metro Boston! I'm really looking forward to this 3 day weekend. I've been busy the past couple months with work and I'm also in the process of buying a second home (stressful!) I'll be with my family for Xmas eve and Xmas day and then Monday will be a "me" day.

Best wishes to all! Cheers.

Merry Christmas to all and wishing the best in the new year.

To those who have had to give up the ship - may I offer you this,

Hang on to your memories and enjoy but do not waste the time you still have regretting what you can no longer do, rather find enjoyment in your "new world" and whatever comes your way in that new world. Enjoy exploring this new path and stopping to smell the flowers along the way rather than assuming they will not smell as sweet as those on the other side of the buoys that separates you from your old coarse.

Best of the season my friends,

Rob

Patty here. We have always loved meeting you at a dock on our cruises, whether planned or serendipitously. We may not connect with you in 2017 as we are doing the Great Loop all at once, but will look forward to meeting you on the water in 2018. Merry Christmas and a great 2017.

Greetings from Key West!
It's too damn hot at at 83 in the sun.
Had to change out sweaty t-shirts.
Loaded the boat, and at Homestead ARB now.
Merry Christmas to all!
Ya'll ought to come down here; we haven't even seen another c-Dory, though we have to allot an additional 20 minutes at every deisel stop for admirers.
Happy boating!
John

Well said Harvey, Merry Christmas everyone. Your views echo our Harvey, I bought my 19 never having seen a C Dory up close. This site and the people of experience represented what I was looking for. Long may it continue. Looking for more great trips soon. March 1 we unbutton the tarps. See you out there. Carolyn and George

What a great day, and I hope everyone had a wonderful day, with who you wanted, where you wanted and enjoyed it all. It's a great group here, and it is so good to hear from so many, both in the thread on via other means, PM, phone and email.

And yes George, for sure, we'll see you, and many others, out there. Looking forward to a new season and all it brings.
