The Joy of Fishing in Elfin Cove AK staring Ken (BC)

By golly Ken, I see that you're a dadburned movie star now. Helen and I are doing fine, we'll be finer when I finally get that new to us 16 footer in the garage... then I'm going back to harass more of those squawfish. We concluded that we don't need a boaterhome with the camper on the...

The Joy of Fishing in Elfin Cove AK staring Ken (BC)

Don, ya I'm back in the brat pack.... in the process of buying a little 16' angler for dinking around here locally. It wore me out watching them haul in that 435 lb'er. That was a team effort for sure. That'll give me fodder for a few daydreams. :)

Hey Larry, I'm curious... If you slowed down your 22 to trawler speed, do you think it would still pound and vibrate?

A 16' or a 22'. C-Dory of course! I figured that would go without saying. :wink I want to buy a pickup camper and do some cross country touristing. A smaller boat would tow nicer behind a pickup/camper.

    Handling a Large Wave

You can take a rolling wave in just about any position, they are not the dangerous life threatening waves that a vertical or breaking wave is. I defy any of you to describe a situation with a vertical or breaking wave that it is better to take it in any other position than head on. Quite...

    Handling a Large Wave

When heading into steep or breaking waves, the least broachable position is to head directly into the wave. The further you get from the 90 degree angle, the more likely the possibility of a broach. If you don't believe it, just look closely at the photo that Tyboo posted on page 2 of this...
