We have been dealing with service issues the past couple days; that's another story for another time, but let me just say that the factory folks are working with us to resolve those issues.
Here's the "rest of the story"... this morning we came back to our boat in the factory yard to get our laundry; since we weren't going anywhere while they were working on our boat, we decided to accomplish something. Joan and I both got out of the truck to get the stuff off the boat. After taking about 10 steps towards the boat, we heard the doors on the truck lock... with my keys in the ignition... and Joan's purse in the truck... and the motor running! The culprit: Molly the catboat cat had stepped on the door lock while looking out at us! :disgust A definite "Oh, ***" moment.
I was ready to call a locksmith (and terribly embarrassed) when C-Dory workers started gathering around the truck. "Cute cat," and "Do you think she did it on purpose?" got tossed around. I wasn't thinking she was so cute at this moment, and YES, I am sure she did it on purpose... she loves the boat and was ticked that we put her in the truck again! Several of us tried to get her to come stand on the lock again... not a snowball's chance in hell of that. She just sat in there with a slightly devilish grin.
One of the gentlemen from C-Dory saved the day by getting a wire into the door and opening an electric window. We are very grateful for their help in this oh-so-weird situation. :thup
Molly (and her staff) are back at home on the boat tonight... in the water in Bellingham, and ready to go exploring (after a good night's sleep for us all).
Best wishes,
Jim & Joan... and Molly the catboat cat
