I never thought this would happen i thought it was over the first quarter ,Boy was I wrong It 's Good to have New Orleans get this . I'm sure the party will go on for quite some time
 
Speaking of The Who - they should have retired. Not as bad as the Rolling Stones, but I was kind of embarrassed at having told 13 yo Jamie to get out there and watch the legendary rock band.

As for the game, personally I think when the Colts were up by 10 they should've pulled Manning out and rested him for next year.

Besides that, Avatar was over-hyped.
 
I disagree with TyBoo. Whereas Roger Daltrey was weak in the voice department, and one might say Pete Townsend's antics were a caricature of his former self, Pete's guitar playing was outstanding. If you recorded it, take another listen to his guitar licks. His playing made the performance, and the drumming was good. The lyrics for the song Won't Get Fooled Again were poignantly apropos today's political climate. Whereas those lyrics probably escaped the comprehension of the 13 year old, I don't think Teenage Wasteland did, and I don't know why he wouldn't have enjoyed the whole performace. Agree re. Avatar.
 
Wowie! I LOVE it when a team like the Saints kicks a team like the Colts in the gonads! They deserve it! Now if the lowly Seahawks can pick it up a couple of notches, maybe we can have our Hawks and Charlie's Redskins in the next one - stranger things have happened, they sort of just did...
 
Yes that was a great game.
Yes, it caused me to send a txt message to some folks that worked along with me, in MS....rather than in New Orleans...but for sure St's country during the Katrina clean up gig. I think in MS the homes our all volunteer no pay crews worked on topped 450...and then we stopped counting... So, thanks to all who helped in any way after Katrina...many were not wanting a hand out...but a hand up. Good Job.

Yes, I did like and hear the words loudly the song about not being fooled again... and that is no republican....or democratic statement, just a political statement about our payed leaders and what I feel they have been doing for the last ....oh....say.... 30 years. But, W may also be the cause of that too. Maybe that guy who interrupted a great day of just fun and football will realise he is suppose to be Commander and Chief..., realise he is 25% into his 4 year term... and get busy accomplishing something other than a sign in sheet for who is visiting our Country;s white house..... WOW...what an accomplishment.

And....the old folks kept their clothes on, nothing popped out, ...well...other than a belly button shot from under a jacket and white shirt.... and, I gotta say...that took my mind off a missed note or two....

I think it's great for New Orleans to have won considering their storied season and their experience with Katrina. For anyone who did not visit New Orleans after Katrina, it was a Third World Country (no exaggeration). I had the opportunity to volunteer but only for a day unfortunately. I was part of a team who worked to rebuild an elementary school ground in the 9th ward. What a great point of pride for them to have won last night!
 
Kudos to the Saints. They played better on offense and defense and won and the Colts will be rebound and be competitive next year, and
I am looking forward to 2012 Super Bowl in Indy.

Since I work in downtown in Indianapolis, I drive past the Lucas Stadium often. This changed the entire landscape on the West Side of the downtown area along with the baseball stadium and the enlarged Convention Center and a slew of new hotels. Today West Street between I-70 and I-65 is thriving thanks to Colts and city leaders but I remember in the late 70's where a group of business leaders decided to improve the downtown and started the redevelopment plan and work with city, county and state government to what we have today. Some didnt live to see it today but left a legacy in civic pride.

Next Month is March Madness with the Men's Div I College Basketball Final Four Tournment at Lucas. I hope Purdue will do well in the tourney this year. Along with the Colts, I am a Purdue and IU basketball fan. IU is rebuilding but those kids should be proud of their effort and forget their standing

Winning the Super Bowl is the result of a lot of hard work, the same for recovery from Hurricane Katrina which continues today. New Orleans has a new mayor, too with the along The Saints the Super Bowl Champions.
 
I rooted for the Saints and Marie for Indy Colts (She knew Archie Manning and so really thinks the world of his boys). I still look at the contrast between the recovery in New Orleans and Waveland, MS, which took the full brunt of the storm, and yet gets very little publicity.

Hopefully the Saints will get another crack at the Superbowl down the line--I think that they played very well.
