Well it has been awhile......

2017 was a year that required us to be around the homestead and not venture far and 2018 brings both good and bad news.

Good news is that we are going to once again spend September at some of our favorite spots in the PNW. The San Juans, Gulfs, Desolation Sound, and some new ones Princess Louisa and around Victoria.

The bad news is that once done with this trip we will be putting Wild Blue on the market. We have decided we are just not able to make enough use of her to warrant keeping her. I have other sailboats that also have been neglected and that will keep me on the water.

The ongoing fires around here in Northern California have made it difficult to get things together but I will be placing an add here first in case anyone wants to sea test while we are up north. It is most likely I will find a broker up north to leave it with if anyone has recommendations.

I also just noticed that I never went back to finish our trip in 2016 up into the Braughtons in the "Grand Adventures" forum, I will try and do that.

This is such a great community here and I have been checking in regularly but have not really had anything to post.

Tim, it has been awhile since last hearing from you & good to get an update. Someone will be most fortunate to carry on with Wild Blue. I hope you share your last cruise on her.

I’ve been keeping a close eye on the fires in your area & thinking about you & my own family & old friends there too.

Hi Jay, They finally are moving into mopping up today along the north end near us. It has burned everything east of Mid Mountain ridge, south of the Eel, north of Hwy 20 and east.....well it is still burning around Pillsbury into Snow Mountain. Potter is out of the woods, but going to be dealing with smoke for awhile.

Hi Tim,

Wild Blue is a great boat; sorry it has worked out that you haven't had time to use it as you had thought. Someone is going to get a 25 that is ready to take them on more grand adventures.

Good luck with the sale.

Hugs to you and Mary,
Jim & Joan

Sorry to hear that you will be selling, but good that you will have a great cruise this fall.

There are always people looking for a good 25, and this is one. It is very possible that you will find someone who whats to put a deposit on it now, and then pick it up as soon as you are thru.

Potential 25 buyers should keep this boat in mind.

Thanks Jim and Bob,
Wild Blue has been everything we could have hoped for a cruiser. It is only because of life's twists and turns that we have not been able to be on her more. And unlike my little sailboats there is a substantial annual investment in taxes, and insurance that warrant use for value.
She has been kept in covered storage and is in as good as shape as when Jim handed over the helm to me, so I don't expect there to be much of a problem selling.

Tim, Sounds like you have a great trip planned for Sept. I will be on the water somewhere in Sept, so will be keeping an eye out for you and WildBlue. Your Victoria and PLI destinations are PNW highlights. Enjoy. I too will be looking forward to your Broughton writeup. That is another favirite area of mine.

Wish you the best in your future adventures, including the sale. Bob is right, anybody looking for a nicely setup, well taken care of 25 should be in contact with you soon.
