Long time wannabes finally did it! :D We are now the proud new owners of a C Dory previously owned by Mpmccoy here on Cbrats. We've had our Cdory for about a week and have had absolute blast playing with it. We belong to a small yacht club up here and most of my friends are sailers and even they managed to utter kind words about our new boat... for a power boat that is  . Laurie and I are looking forward to learning about the systems and electronics aboard.
I wanted to let you guys know about the seller of our boat - if he is even remotely representative of the Cbrats at large - we are just as pleased and impressed as we could be. Mike and his lovely wife Sona went way out of there way to accomadate our schedule, make us comfortable and assist us. He graciouly offered for us to bring our truck mounted camper to his property to spend the night and had nice poolside breakfast the next morning. Once we made the deal we had to get the trailer lights up and working which turned out to be quite a hassel (due to a defective adapter). Mike stuck with us, drove me around and after a couple of hours of his time got us going down the road.... above and beyond for sure.
We look forward to meeting fellow Cbrats on outings in the not too distant future. Consider us "signed up" for the Delta Cruise up here in the Bay area! John and Laurie

That's a great boat for the Delta, the Bay and going up the Napa and Petaluma Rivers. and it's easy to haul, so you can enjoy the many lakes/reservoirs around.

Congratulations!

Boris

I guess I need to figure out how to post photos! Thanks for the warm welcome. I met a few of you at a factory tour party about two years ago. Yes, it took a while to get it together putting nickles together  . Look forward to some new adventures, including heading up to the San Juans for a couple of weeks next year.

Welcome aboard! Our sailor friends have been "power curious" when it comes to the C-Dory. 8) You will really enjoy that inside helm and all the protection it provides. Hope you have great times onboard! :thup

Oh, and that "nice" thing - it's in our C-Dory Owners Bylaws: Article III, Section 4b...

"Just be nice."

Something about the boat seems to bring out the nice in the owners.

Have fun with your very capable new boat.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Welcome aboard!
You have a very good boat and as you learn more about how it works and how to organize it things will only get better.

John and Laurie-

Welcome Aboard! :smile

We sailors make the best power-boaters! (But don't tell the others!) :wink

And your CD-22 Cruiser is the most common denominator among the Brats!
Easy to handle, own, and most capable $$$ for $$$!!! :teeth

Plus you're situated near the Pacific Ocean, on the north of the greater SF Bay complex, right next to the California Delta, and not too far from California's mountain lakes. :smiled

What's not to like? (The price of gasoline comes to mind, particularly when compared to the wind!) :smileo

Hope to see you on the water sometime soon!

Joe. :teeth :thup
