This is a most unusual storm in may ways. First it is the only 4th named storm in June. It is very slow moving, and multiple atmospheric systems are affecting it. It appears to continue to be a weak storm.
In Pensacola, we have had some wind, and a little rain. The storm surge is several feet. We have not made any preps, other than raising the boat lift up a few feet.
There are several sources of information I like; One is an app: Hurricane Tracker for i pad. It has all of the essentials. Dr Jeff Masters (Weather Underground has excellent blogs on storms. Peter Ray has an excellent list server: http://lists.hcs.net/mailman/listinfo/hurricane-forecast_lists.hcs.net
The early computer models showed this storm anywhere from Tampa to Brownsville... now, that's quite a spread! Looks like Apalach is going to be on the "dirty" side of it. Hoping for an easy storm passage for all involved.
