It's a real leap of faith when you go from a larger boat (or almost any sailboat) to a C-Dory. What most folks considering the move want to know: can you really be comfortable in there?
A test ride, or time spent on a boat at a boat show, doesn't really tell you what it's like to spend a week, or a month, on a 25' boat. And, frankly, not everyone could do it. The gist of this article is the discovery for the Sasses that they can have big fun on a small boat.
The way they plan to use this boat, with someone else doing the trailering, is another interesting perspective - I enjoyed the article. Many of us, though, consider the land traveling with these boats part of adventure. Seems to me that they bought the right boat for the way they intend to use it! :thup
Another fine (and very public) example of how versatile the C-Dorys are. Many of us consider the C-Dory to be "a step up"... I think of ours as our "just right" boat.
Best wishes,
