This person needs more docking practice

In 1983 we were in Puerta Villarta and a Cruise liner did this type of maneuver thru the anchored yachts. We were able to slip our anchor and get clear--but one of our friends had substantial damage to his boat. Nothing more frightening than a cruise liner running amok!

This happened to me while stated on Governors Island, NY. A Coast Guard ferry did a poor job of mooring in Buttermilk Channel and took out three sets of dolphins that where there for the CG's 378's, then it continued till it ran over my sailboat which was on a mooring very close to the sea wall. The Captain said it didn't happen like this, but a hobby photographer was on the wharf snapping photos of the entire event.
I may post them just so everyone can see the carnage.
Best regards,
Steve Baum

Yeah... that's gonna leave a mark.

And another example of "the Rule of Displacement" ... aka: big boat eats little boat.
