Is this the light at the end of the tunnel?

Here in Indiana it is dark, dismal and raining and raining and raining. The lake is rising over my docks and I am watching to see if my lift motor goes under.

I'm looking forward to a brighter tomorrow.

YESSS!! The winter solstice has always been a big yearly mile marker for me.
 
we're getting close.
last week I had to fly to boise for work and I left what I thought was a very cold 18f Seattle for a -3f boise. was quite pleased with yesterdays 32f and snow, will be even more pleased with next months Maui weather :mrgreen:

It's "climate change" now...so even if it get cold, they can scream the sky is falling and reach into your wallet.....

sometimes when its really cold out I just go run the cars for a couple hours in the driveway to help speed the process.
 
Yes, the days are getting longer. I can feel it already. Going South a bit helped with the temperature too. I missed the snow and cold, and and and and and didn't have to get up at 0400 for work. Yea, and won't tomorrow either, :thup :lol: :xlol

Dec. 21 is "THE BIG SWISH DAY" for me. That is when all of the salmon stop going where they are going and turn around making a big swish and head back here. We hope there will be some big King Salmon doing that this year. It has been pretty slim pickings for the last few seasons.

As far as wanting to work again......... if I get up in the morning feeling that way I just lay down again for 10 min. or so and it goes away. Works every time.

Come back salmon..............

oh boy, in terms of fishing my 2014 mantra will be "go north young man". instead of wasting 10hr+ days in south sound I'm just going to drive an extra hour north where they actually have salmon....haha.
 
So, if it is not climate change, how do you folks explain:
1. Carbon dioxide increasing in atmosphere
2. Hottest decade on record
3. Disaperance of the large glaciers like the Athabasca glacier
4. Artic sea ice disapearing
5. greenland ice melting at increasing rate
6. Antarctic ice melting
7. Earth warming
8. Sea level rising
9.Ocean rising
10. more extreme weather

Not to be political or argumentative, but these "facts" can be spun to anyone's ideological advantage. Here are a quick few counter-points.

Folks, the point here is -- don't buy into any of the talking points, no matter which side is selling them. Find out all of the FACTS that you can, vet those facts as best you can, and then, more importantly MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND, knowing it is based upon FACT.

How can you spin a fact? A fact is a fact. It is what it is. If you dont believe these are facts, then tell me how they are not! with facts!

A person can have their own opinions or their beliefs, but a person cannot have their own facts.
So, the question was, if climate change or global warming is not the cause of these 10 things that are happening, what is the reason?
