Seasport rumor

Nobody panic, we are trying to have all the web changes to all sites done by tomorrow. The new phone numbers will be:

Triton Marine: 360-933-4558
C-Dory: 360-393-4630
Osprey: 360-306-8930
Orca: 360-933-4294
Fax: 360-933-4155

Triton Marine is now operational and we hope to have all the bugs worked out by this weekend, please don't hesitate to contact me direct with any questions or comments that you might have.

Sincerely,

Scott Boysen

Roger you are dead on. In this tight market with few buyers price is very close to cost. two years ago something like 400k boat were sold a year, now its 110k boats last year. Price's have to be lower or closer to cost and if you cant cut the cost with volume you are priced out. the few buyers will be dealing with the best built and best priced boats for the money. I prefer this market as a buyer. You tend to get better service and less hassle when a buyer is a commodity

Perhaps folks should check out "rumors" with the horses mouth before posting them on the web site. It would have been too easy to call Sea Sport and ask the question(s). What's going on with your business? I've heard rumors???? I'm certain they would have gladly answered any and all questions.
Hello again,
Perhaps it was not too easy to contact Sea Sport as one C-Brat suggested. If Scott would taken the time to post the contact info as requested previously it would have saved some embassment as now it looks like there are a bunch of changes. It would seem easlier to post some of what to expect here than dealing with a bunch of separate phone calls from individuals. I just wonder why not one phone number and then the usual press one for Triton Marine, press two for C-Dory etc. What does Triton Marine do. Maybe someone wants to buy something from them??? :?

Maybe talking to a real person is better than having to push one, two, three or 4...or listen to the damn machine. If I have to push one for English, often, if at all possible, I find a place where a nice English speaking PERSON...answers the call and I move my business to them. Maybe I am old fashion.

The nice lady I spoke with when I made a trip cross country to just go there and see and meet the folks who are building the boats now was a very nice lady.I hope she answers the phone, no matter which of the 4 numbers are called.

Maybe they can track which brand is attracting the most interest simply by tracking the number of incoming calls to each line. My bet is...you will not have to hang up and redial if you want to talk about one of the other brands.

Give the folks a chance.

Back away from the key boards and just go see the folks.

I need some sunshine...and it is shining today.

Love Ya All... mean it!!!

Brydman,
I was just speaking of ways to help these folks out. Your idea of jumping in a car and driving 2 or 3000 miles just to say hi sounds like a good plan, I'm just not sure for who. Unless you were going out there anyway to check on another floating pile of money you are trying to get rid of. It's funny to me and others as you seem to try a peddle Rosbough's boats on this site yet are suggesting for me to back away from the keyboard. You have the perfect right to advertise and make what ever comments you like but so do others. I want the new ownership to survive as much as anyone else. My posts dealt with them (S.S.) keeping the people who care about them informed. I regularly promote dealers who have teated me fairly and provide ideas and my point of view. You can check with the folks that run this site that I make my share annual contributions. Your post seemed to have a tone that I took as unwarranted. But no matter it's everyones right to an option, this was mine.

Uh oh, I think it's time to take a deep breath before this thread turns to crap.

Polite reminders are one way to get folks back on track. Thanks, Don - you've done your good deed for the day.

Thread hijacking is another, I'll try that route.

I'm dragging Dana to the Honda dealer today, we might buy a new car. It's an undisputed fact, that there is no finer car for hauling dogs than a Honda Element. Now that they've done away with the two-tone configuration and rounded the corners a bit more, I won't feel like I'm driving a wannabe Hummer.

You all behave, now...I'll be gone for several hours, and unless TyBoo has woken up there won't be anyone minding the store around here for a bit.

T he only negative my son has with his Honda Element is that it has those suicide side doors so the front doors have to be opened before the rear doors can open. Probably won't matter to the dogs.

That's the same as 'Merican extended cab pickups as well as most Nipponionic extended cab models. Best is that the Element with auto tranny can be towed 4 wheels down behind a motorhome without any hassles at all. Vehicles built by Government Motors (GM) can do that too, but then you will own a Bayli - 'Scuse me, GM vehicle.

My Dodge pickup has the same doors. The dog sits in front....

Thread hijack continued...

Got back from the test drive. This one was for Dana - I drove one the other day without her. While she's still of the opinion it's one ugly car, she was wowed by the function and was pretty happy with the ride.

They wouldn't bite on my offer, though - I know what to pay for the car, but only way we would drive off the lot was if we could get a few bucks for our trade. They lowballed us by about $5K, which I expected...so, off to Craigslist to get rid of the existing car first.

Marty - funny thing on your son's Ecamper. I'd spent a week or so reading up on this vehicle, perusing all the forums, etc. Never saw reference to that modification anywhere. Then yesterday, I thought "somebody at the C-Brats must have an Element" - and there's no better group of folks to get feedback from. Searched the site and saw your post - quite intriguing. Those who remember my BratVan from a few years back, saw the popup Penthouse camper I had on that SportsMobile - works pretty well, and saves tons of space. I'll have to look into that a little more, but unlike the van which had tons of room, I'd probably want to have the capability to store tons of stuff on top of the Element - making the raising/lowering somewhat more problematic.

IMO all the "rolling boxes" (the Element, Kia Soul, Nissan Cube, Scion XB) are fugly, but then I love old VW's so what do I know.

I agree that the Element has a very "utilitarian interior design" though, which, with dogs, makes perfect sense.

Dotty and I will be driving it down to San Diego in April for the conversion. We'll drop it off on a monday and fly home. Joe flies down at the end of the week and drives it home. That thing is huge inside, and with those funky doors I think I could put a 14 footer in there. Apparently the top can hold kyaks and pods too. We'll see

You don't have to have an Element...

Although, that Ecamper is pretty cool in a minimalist, get away from it all, kinda way. Like many other Brats, we had a VW camper many years ago.

(Cue the music: "Truckin', got my chips cashed in...")

You can buy a car at the dealer on a Sunday?
We cant.

Bummer...guess it pays on occasion, to live in a state filled with heathens.

Every Honda dealer around me is open until 7:00PM on Sundays. Full staff on hand for trades, financing, etc.
