Passing of a C Dory owner

Wayne Barr, who had owned a C Dory 22 for a number of years, and for the last 6 years a Tom Cat 24 passed on last night, after a long struggle with cancer. Wayne is a neighbor and friend of ours. He had helped us when we purchased our C Dory 22 and took us for a couple of rides in his Tom Cat before we purchased our Tom Cat 255.

Although Wayne rarely posted on this forum, he was more active in the prior forum. He was also an active ham operator: KQ4OW.

Our prayers go to his wife Joyce, son and grandchildren. A good friend whose friendship will be missed.

Services will be at 10 AM on Tuesday.
 
This group is like family to all of us so we fell the pain.
We are sorry for your loss and we will pray for Wayne and his family.
For Wayne's sake, I hope there are boats waiting for him on the other side

It's always hard to lose a friend but when they are C-Dory owners and Hams too, it's immeasurable. Sorry for your loss Bob. If there is another side, I'm sure it's full of boats.

Bob, Thanks for posting that. Yes, I think I recall chating a bit with Wayne as a TC24 owner in our previous forums. Sorry for your loss of a friend. Got all in my prayers.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Our prayers will go our for his family and our condolences to all. Real friends share both the happy and sad times. Thanks for sharing.
