We’ve sold our NORO LIM.
When we bought the boat, we had planned to concentrate on using it for 10 years. Well, eight and a half years later, our circumstances and the unexpected appearance of just the right buyer collided to produce a sale. It was a very quick and extremely pleasant process with no time for dithering or second guessing - and I’m confident NORO LIM is in good hands.
NORO LIM allowed me to realize what had once seemed just an impossible dream – not once, but three times. Three times she carried us safely and in comfort more than 2,000 miles up the Inside Passage and back. She took us on many shorter adventures, too, and never once complained. No breakdowns, no problems, no fears.
Whether or not there is ever another boat in our lives, I hope to hang around this place. I plan to continue living the boating life, vicariously at least. (I may also occasionally annoy people with unsolicited advice.) I have learned more from many of you C-Brats than you could ever imagine. Not that long ago, it would have been laughable to think I’d be rewiring things, dabbling in fiberglass work, trouble-shooting electronics, installing heaters and radars, and mastering (sort of) anchoring and a myriad of other boaty stuff.
I trust the new owners will get as much from all of you as I have, and will pursue their dreams of adventure with NORO LIM. I fully expect you to hear from them soon.
I’ve got a great stockpile of glorious memories of my own – more than enough to last the duration.
