Norcold refrigerator problem

Anybody have input on how to get a repair on Norcold ?
I have a 3 year old 23 Venture and last outing frig failed (Bummer right).
So far i know it runs fine on 110 volt nice and cold but not on 12 volt only light and fan run on 12 volt no compressor, there is a control board I suspect but cant test .
The factory doesn't seem to have repair centers near me at all .
Wondering if anybody had to fix there unit and how

model Nr751bb
Thanks fellow boaters

My best suggestion is to see if there is a fuse in the back control board. There could be a separate fuse for the compressor. The good news is that your compressor (the Danfoss BD35) is working. So it is either something in the circuit board or a 12 volt fuse for the compressor (but not for fans and light.). The compressor runs on 12 volts. Also could be a connection.

If it runs on 110 V but not on 12 volts, a 300 or so watt pure sine wave inverter probably will run it. That is a work around, and probably not a permeant solution.

I would try and pull the unit out, and see if you can double check for accessible fuse or loose connection on circuit board. There is a web site called "The Norcold Guy", and he has circuit boards. A message to phone call to this link might give more information.

Hey Bob,
We were both thinking of "The Norcold Guy" and we posted at the same exact minute. How funny. :D Hopefully the issue is just a blown fuse.

Thanks for your tips I’ll try calling the Norcold guy. No other fuses found but lots happing with that circuit board if I had to guess it would be that .
I’ll let you know when I get it fixed.
If part is costly I may look into a portable one they make sense duel use in motor vehicles also I see soon of you use them
Thanks Jim

I don't know if there is room for the chest type in the 23. We have a Norcold chest under the port front dinette seat on the 25 (we got 12 volt only model). We have the ARB for a freezer in the cockpit.

We purchased a BlackForrest 31 Liter Webasco dual voltage for our truck and cross country runs, since the other two go with the C Dory 25 when she goes to the new owner. The Webasco has a BD 35 Danfoss compressor and we used it daily for over a month in our SUV--running mostly off a 100 amp hour Li FePO4 battery. This is a slightly smaller unit, but only $316 at Defender (they were a little less expensive earlier, but this is still an excellent price.
