Hi C Brats,

I'm A new cdory owner in MS. I purchased an 08 22 cruiser recently and have been rigging it up the way I want it. I want to thank all the c brats for all the informative and entertaining post. I've been reading them for some time now and really decided on the c dory because of all the fun I found you guys having.
I went to the New Orleans Boat Show last weekend and enjoyed meeting Marc from Wefings Marine.
I look forward to meeting some of you in the future.
Thanks again for all the posts and Pictures.

Welcome aboard jdsdory,

Great place here, for sure. Now that you've got yours, post some photos and stories... we really enjoy "show and tell". :D

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Welcome Aboard! My wife is from Corinth (up North in MS). I believe that there are at least 4 other C Dories in MS. Drop on down to Camp Thataway some time!

Jdsdory, Welcome out on the left side. You are in for a great time. Enjoy and keep us posted occasionally, at least, here. We do like to see and hear what others are doing. You are welcome out west anytime.

Welcome, Jdsdory, to the pub. Great to have another Brat aboard from MS. We look forward to your posts and pictures.

For those Brats who are not familiar with boating in Alabama - it has more miles of Corps of Engineers navigable waterway than any other state! - 1,428 nautical miles!! You (all) might want to peruse the Great Horseshoe Route, our Chapter 11 on Halcyon Days website:

We have enjoyed cruising the marvelous waterways of Alabama and sure encourage those of you who like to cruise the south to consider meeting Jdsdory for some outstanding cruises.

And Poplarville is just a hop skip and jump from Alabama - and we don't have any tales written up about our cruise across coastal Mississippi. So, these are some ideas of nearby great cruising.

JD , great to meet you in Nola. Hope to see you on our part of the gulf coast . You know where to call if you need anything !

Congratulations on your new boat fun times ahead. I have several electrician friends from Corinth I met while working at Browns Ferry Nuke. Really nice cruising in that area.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I do plan to post some pictures and trip details when I have some that I feel will be of interest. I plan to spend some time out on the barrier islands, Cat island, Horn, Ship, Halfmoon, and do some fishing in the LA marsh. Meanwhile, I will continue to enjoy checking out the c brats site. I have learned a lot from this site just by reading prior posts. safety is my main priority, so I'm taking my time and trying to learn everything that I can.
Thanks again for the Welcome
Jerry

JD, Welcome, Enjoy. This is a great place to share, and to learn. Stay with us. By the way, our SleepyC came to us as "Jims Dorie". Close but not the same. You will learn all kind of great things about your boat and yourselves now. Best of all, a great excuse to be on the water :thup :thup

Jerry, Welcome aboard and congrats on your boat. Be sure to keep that trailer ready.... We move about on our boats/trailers in the SE a bit, with gatheings in most waters. Come join us. We have several in the Nashville TN area now and others moving in....and/or willing to travel in. We "generally" have a gathering in spring and fall. ... But then, with all the folks familar with the corner of MS/AL/TN.... looks like we may all need to merge in on JP Coleman State Park or some other area for a few days to a week...

Happy Boating!
