Alan & Janice became C-Brats yesterday when we picked up Bob & Betsy's 25 ft Sea Pal (Haven't decided if we'll keep the name yet).

We're looking forward to participating in the Forum (mostly with questions at first) and will try to attend the gatherings.

Welcome A&J! You became brats once you started reading the forum. Now you have a boat!

There is a specific procedure for renaming, if you decide to do it.

Keep posting, it's addictive!

Ok, I give up. What is the specific procedure?

welcome aboard. The procedure includes drink, and chanting. If you come to friday harbor or la conner gatherings we can help you out with it. Nice boat by the way.

Welcome aboard Alan and Janice! That is a great boat you have - it provided many interesting cruises for Bob and Betsy and should give you the opportunity for doing the same.

I took a look at your blog - great floating home, with a perfect place to keep your CD-25! :thup Keep us posted as you make the change from sailing to power cruising... there are a lot of former sailors here who have learned the joys and attributes of the C-Dory.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Welcome! SeaPal knows the way to Friday Harbor. You got a great, well cared for boat. Its not too far from Portland to up here. The 2nd best way to get to know people is this site, the best is to come to a gathering. Join us May 17-18-19 We'll rename the boat with an official naming ceremony (and selected beverages).

We'll definitely try to get there. Hopefully by that time we'll have picked a new name and will certainly bring our selected beverages.

I will formally welcome Alan and Janice aboard. Disclosure: Alan joined the medical group I was associated with many years ago. He and Janice have sailed about 1000 miles with us on our Cal 46 from Acapulco to Costa Rico. They also sailed their own Nauticat 42 from Long Beach, CA to Florida, going the hard way from Panama/ Columbia, to windward. I will reserve the right to tell other stories as necessary....

Great boat and great people!

Thanks for the introduction Bob. Just to set the record straight, our boat was a Nauticat 44.
