Guys, I just sold my 25 today......I'm very happy but it was also bittersweet! I didn't think I would feel like that until Gus (buyer) pulled away with the trailer and then I knew it was OVER. Crazy!
The buyer is from Portland, Maine and is very familiar with the CD brand and boats. He actually lived in BC and the PNW for many years so when he came across my boat in New England he couldn't believe it! Lol.
This morning we did the seatrial (2nd one) and the survey/haulout. The surveyor was very thorough and knew his stuff (I may in fact use him for my next boat purchase). He went over everything in my slip for about 45 minutes and I even learned some things. Like the importance of galvonic isolator and the some interesting tidbits about the fuel tank.
After the seatrial we went over to the haulout staging area and then myself and the buyer had to get off the boat. As per the marinas regs we couldn't be on the boat for the haulout. I took a few short videos of the haulout and I'll post them below. Make sure you change the video resolution to 720 or 1080p.
So that's where I "stand" right now! I'm boatless (not for long) and no longer a C Dory owner (the latter is more troubling than the former). I'm currently shopping Camano 31's quite vigorously and have done a seatrial and seen several over the past month.....We shall see what the future holds.
As I stated before in another thread , I'm not going anywhere! You guys are stuck with me and my 2 foot -itis shenanigans. Haha. I will continue to be an active Brat and share in this great community. I really appreciate the friendships I've made over the past 2 years and they really mean a lot.....This isn't a forum, it's a family!
Moderators: I'll make sure I make another monetary contribution so I don't get banned! LMAO
