Lest We Forget ... DaNag and Tyboo

Although I'm a little nervous at publishing a compliment, lest Da Nag and Tyboo get swelled heads; I am compelled to publish a PUBLIC THANK-YOU to both you guy's for the work, effort, and expense you put forth for the C-Brat community and website.

Like most of us, I monitor a LOT of different websites (political, economic, blog's, etc.). NO other site creates the feeling of HOME like C-Brat's. I'm on and off this site several times a day, just to keep up with the comings and goings of Bill and El, Thataway (Dr.Bob), Jay and Jolee, George and Penny, Jim and Joan, Pat and Patty, and countless other's whether we've met them or not!

C-Brat's truly gives meaning to the idea of a Virtual Community.

Thank You.

There are a bunch of C-Brat's we've met. Likewise, there are a bunch of Friends we've yet to meet somewhere on the waterways of America and Canada. Example: Last summer while meandering back through Smuggler's Cove (BC) we finally got to the very back - surprise, surprise, there were three C-Dory's already at anchor. I felt we were already friends as I recognized two of the boat names from C-Brat's! That's a very good way to launch new friendships, indeed. Our paths crossed by happen-chance, and was a wonderful experience.

Thank You.

Without your efforts we'd likely just be a bunch of individuals crazy about our little boats. As it is, we are warmed by the reality there are other's out there - just like US! We can share in the Adventures of others, share information, and occasionally debate, even while we sit at home. God, what a Great Group; but without your efforts it simply wouldn't be.

Thank You.

Hi Casey,
I've frequently given public thanks to Bill and Mike for this wonderful place they provide. When we're out and about, it is a bit of "home"; when we're home, it gives us interesting looks at "faraway." Tyboo and DaNag have provided the "house"... all the good folks here who follow the "be nice" rule make it "home."

We've met so many great people thanks to the C-Brats. Sorry we missed adding you and Sandy to the list this winter, but we know our paths will cross one day.

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan B.

I'll pass on a huge 'fourth' round of thanks myself. Your patience has helped dozens, maybe hundreds of ppl make their dreams come true. With all the seamanship, neat photos, problems solved, and everyday marine info on this site, many of us are able to stretch out far beyond what we'd have been able to do (safely at least) on our own.

Thanks so much you two!!!!

John

I'm on here so much I feel like I owe you money. Thanks Da Nag and Tyboo... this site has enriched my life in so many ways! This is truly a case of doing more than you'll ever know...

Yes, Thanks Mike and Bill.
I know how it is when you meet a stranger on a C-Dory and introduce yourself as a "Brat"- like a brotherhood it is.
I have to hand it to you guys for sitting back, when I know you want to jump in, while us "kids" have a row. It's your cool and level heads that keep this site going.
See ya in the Treehouse.

i read this string in a panic that someone had become ill , were leaving or died!!.

then i told tom read this post and he was already posting to the string about the same fear that some thing was wrong..

ps yes we are both online together in the same room on the web site on separate computers now that i got my lap top back from him. i guess it is called quality time.

we will see who types faster

lest we forget! Hell for a minute there I thought you two went down with the ship. I too love the site you have created and maintained over the years. And its a lot more then just providing providing us with a place to post our ideas and love for our boats. Its the small way that you two keep the site on track. Many good sites have deteriorated in to flame thrower sites that only a few control and leaves all new visitors feeling unwanted and attacked by the "in club" . Several fishing boards in the north west have fallen into a black hole of flaming and attack. One good site of the past is so bad that no one will post pics of their fish any long for fear that they will be flamed for holding the fish wrong, having out of the water, or being hold that they are lying about the weight. This site is and always has been friendly, helpful and with out demeaning language ( unless I Misspell something). This is not good luck , its a direct reflection of the leadership here. Running a good web site is a little like raising a child, it takes active participation by the parent. Mike and Bill have be great parents to this site (now thats a wedding pic I don't want to see) Thank you both very much.

Patti and I could not agree more. We are truly fortunate to have two such good folks "running" or rather attempting to herd this gaggle of cats/brats. Just stop for a minute and think what the C-Dory community would be without these two volunteers who make this site and the C-brats possible...no cbgt's, no learned expositions from Thataway, no wonderful travelogues from Bill and El, Wild Blue, etc. No where to find out about the latest in C-Doryland, no forum on which to list C-Dorys for sale, no place to find out how to fix anything. I could go on for a long time in this vein but the point is, we are damned lucky to have them and in my opinion we need to remember that. Bluntly speaking, there would not be a C-Dory community as we know it without them. Thats why I tend to get mildly steamed when somebody grouses about the site being slow, or certain groups being ignored.

Why...I'd even go so far as to chip in to get them a gallon of gas or so. :D

To Bill, Mike especially for their effort and energy put into this site. They guide, direct and restrain when and where necessary in a way that keeps things in line, on track and informative. THANK YOU!!!!!
And to everyone who posts those helpful, informative or thought provoking posts. You too are appreciated. Someone at the SBS Hawthorne dinner that said, if you buy the boat, you get a boat and the "family". That may be true, but on occasion we have met the rare C-Dory owner who does not participate here, and it seems like they are missing half the pleasure of owning the boat.

Not much a person can add to the above post.

I also appreciate the volunteer work you both do on this site. Your interest keeps it all moving along in a civilized fashion. I check in at least once a day because it is informative, entertaining and just plain fun to do.
Thanks again.............Jack  8) :D

Bill and Mike,

Joe and I want to say Thank You for the wonderful gift you've given us. Now here I go getting 'weepy' but just can't help it. Without this website, I am certain we probably would never have met either you or your wonderful families. We just can't begin to say how much we apprciate you and what you do here.

Now I really need a Kleenex :cry

:love Ruth and Joe/R-Matey

Mike and Bill-

Thanks for providing this great home for all of us to enjoy and make friends within!

We've not only been able to help each other maximize our pleasure in C-Doryland, but establish a community where all are respected and loved.

Joe. :thup

Mike & Bill;
Ditto on ALL fronts!

You have made even this old Virginian D.... Yankee from Maine feel welcome. There are not any 'left or right' coast issues, just a loving family with common bonds to this little CD boat and each other.

Well done faithful servants.
