Marty Mcfly Hover board is a reality

And we thought that PWC were aggravating! This flew over 2,254 meters over water, nearly 10x the previous free flight of a overboard. Probably a long ways from competing with the Segway, but a new form of transportation. Forget the dinghy, bicycle, or small car. Newest accessory for the C Dory!
 
Yeah... now we have to watch for someone texting while riding a hoverboard??? :shock:

Where are those going to be in the stand-on/give-way protocol?? :mrgreen:
 
Same as any other aircraft--not yet controlled by FAA, but give the Government a few days!

There is 1000 horsepower in the 4 main turbo jets. 4 x 250 HP! There are also 2 small side turbo jets.

Ceiling is 10,000 feet, and a parachute will be required! This is the same person who invented the "flyboard" which is powered by a PWC. There are many of these "Flyboards" in coastal towns.

There are also many sensors, gyro's etc--tripple redundancy. To me it is revolutionary--far better than any other jet back type of device. (Note he was wearing a PWC!)
 
So I wonder how long it will be until Jay and Jody decide to trade-in their
Mokai's for hover boards??

Jay will be the first to circumnavigate Baranof Islandon a hover board,
and Jody will be the first to get quadcopter video of himself while on a
hover board.

Watch out Lake Powell (and SEAK) ... here they come!
