Several people sent me the link to that video - impressive. Active Pass is an interesting place to run through... even more so when the whales are there.
On a tangent, I watched "Blackfish" last night. See these magnificent mammals in their environment (like in Active Pass), and you can understand the perspective of that film.
Jim, I watched it too. Have to agree, these are incredible animals and need to be seen in their natural environment. They are wild, intelligent communal beings and deserve our respect not our dominance.
On the news (KING5TV) on Thursday there was a large pod of Orca down in the Seattle Tacoma area of Puget Sound (Salish Sea). And also a news bit about one of the resident females, that was about 80 years old having not been seen since September and feared she has died of natural causes -- old age.
