A couple of days of tragedies...Sad to see loss of life with a marina fire. It is also frightening as to how fast one of these fires spreads especially if under a shed roof (The photos of the fire seem to show that there was a shed.--melted and collapsed after the fire.). It appears that at least 8 are dead, and a number missing.
This is an area we traversed last year on the Tennessee River. I don't remember seeing this specific marina, but it could one of many similar ones. I suspect they will never find out what caused this specific one. But the power plug inlet is one of the high risk areas. Each of us with 110 v power thru a detachable cable news to inspect the boat inlet each year. With the cold spell, it could have also been a heater or defective wiring inside of the boat.
