Just happened to be in Radio Shack today. I wanted a current measuring digital volt meter dedicated to the boat--and the "True RMS clamp on AC/DC mulitmeter is on sale for $35. (Normally about $70)--and this seems to be a fairly good unit, measures temp (with the included probe from -4F to +1400F. HZ 4-10-40-400 ranges; Ohms 400 to 40M, Volts AC/DC 400 mv to 600 V, Current: ranges 40 400 and 800 amps, capacitance 100uF to 4nF.

Rule Gold bilge pumps carry a 5 year warranty...if you find that in any other 2000 GPH (such ratings are wildly optimistic) let us know! This is not overkill even for a 22 with a small hull underwater hole or fitting failure (see the math elsewhere). Quiet, smooth, beefy build, beefy wiring, free shipping...bilge pumps live a tough life and are arguably the most critical mechanical part of your boat. I contend every saltwater bilge pump should be replaced every 5-10 years even if working perfectly because the wiring will likely have weak corroded areas even if it looks fine, and it's pretty cheap in the big picture.
Others will dicker, that's fine with me.
