It was a great 20 year run, 2005 -2025! The San Juans, the Gulf Islands, Desolation Sound, Princess Louisa, and the Great Loop!

We sold Daydream to Adam Lucke from Shoreline today!

Pat and Patty signing off and boatless in Birch Bay!

Wow! You're both Legacy members of C-Brats and some of the finest people that Kim and I have met.
I know it was a difficult decision to sell. Adam and his family are lucky to have Daydream. Many adventures ahead. Oh the memories you have of your adventures.
We hope to see you both again at a future time and place.

The Lucke family now can continue the legacy with Daydream hopefully as long as both you and Patty have owned her. Many folks refer on-line about your blog doing the entire Great Loop and the information that it affords for its entirety. We appreciate all of your contributions to C-Brats over the years and know that you will still be with us. Hope to see you again and be sure to come out to the annual Friday Harbor gathering next May that you have been a part of for so long. Gary and Colleen

Well, you two sure had a good run with Daydream & have built many memories for yourselves, many other’s & especially us C-Brats. We’ll all be boat-less someday & I’m sure not looking forward to that for us.

Jay

A bittersweet day... that "two happiest days for a boater" don't always apply. Been there. Joan and I wish you all the best in this next chapter. And that next chapter will be what you decide to make of it.

As Jay said, we all will have to make that decision of when, at some point. Better to make the decision than to have it made for you. You two made a lot of good memories on Daydream. Good that you found someone to carry on with that boat.

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan

Pat and Patty, stick around, even though you have joined those of us who are "senior" ex CDory owners. We know how hard it is to give up our beloved C Dorys! Not many who have owned the boat since new for 20 years and had the adventures you have lived.

You both have a lot of wisdom to share, and we love you both!

Change is good and that was a solid run! We have fond memories of Daydream over the years. A new phase begins for the boat and now that we liveaboard, we will keep an eye out for it!

We went out on Daydream for the last time today, It was for Adam Lucke's "sea trial" (post purchase). Bittersweet when we saw him pull it out of the water and drive away! He will need proper C-Brat denaming and christening ceremonies!

Keep us posted on how living aboard goes!

Daydream's new name as we as we understand it will be Pearl. She will be moored in Shoreline. Patty and I are still in "negotiations" since I cannot picture being completely boatless for the rest of my life!

Oh, my goodness, I was so hoping this wouldn't be the case!

Last September when Gary, Colleen and I visited and spent a memorable day at your house, we also talked about recovery from surgery and the hope that after seven or so months you'd be back to boating in late spring 2025.

This news saddens me and I'll miss you as cruising and conversation pals. I have dozens of fun boating memories with you, Pat and Patti, including Wallace Island in 2004, and the day you bought Daydream at the Seattle Boat Show. But as mentioned, stay in touch, and make plans to join us next May.

And if negotiations do find in favor of another form of watercraft, let us know because I'm sure you'll want hundreds of us to weigh in on your decision!

Thanks for all the marine related memories you provided me and many others--throughout the U.S. We'll miss your regular participation, but hope to stay in touch for many more years. :love

From the new owners of Daydream, we're humbled and excited to carry on her legacy.

Thank you to Pat and Patty for the kindness and generosity they've shown -- Daydream is a great boat and we're so happy to have her.

For now, we're busy getting Daydream ready for a summer of doing what she does best -- getting out into it for adventure and fun!
