We already congratulated Casey and Mary via another medium, but we will add our best wishes for the rest of their lives along with everyone else, and here's hoping our paths cross on or off the water frequently!

Casey and Mary, we are delighted for you. :hug :love :hug2 Marriage is a wonderful institution... if you want to spend your life in an institution. (rimshot)

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan

Thanks All ....

Yea, it was Definitely a Great Day.

I think Sunbeam captured it pretty well with:
"Glorious Summer segued into a Glorious New Year's Day."

Indeed!

Thank You!

Best,
Casey&Mary

Congratulations from the crew of STILL CRAZY. We enjoyed meeting the very quiet Mary at Powell. Casey is OK too.

Susan and Harry, 48 years and still in love and still crazy.

Thank you all for the nice congratulations! It was great meeting many of you on Lake Powell and I'm sure we will see you again on the water in the future!

Casey and I had a perfect wedding day! It was a gorgeous 79 degrees...we even wore shorts and rode our scooters to the lakeside park where we got married! Some of our closest friends were there and it was just wonderful. We both probably would have rather had a ceremony on Katmai somewhere on the water...but Katmai is currently in AZ, and we are in FL and we just couldn't wait! But we are making lots of great boating plans in our future....so stay tuned!

Sunbeam...its more like a Glorious Summer segued into a Glorious Fall segued into a Glorious New Year segued into a Glorious LIFE! Casey and I have so much in common and feel very fortunate to have found each other. You never know what lies around the next corner so we have taken the philosophy of DESSERT FIRST!

Have a very happy and healthy New Year everyone!

Great to see the photo of you two and read your description of the day - really brought it to life (I like the casual/fun of riding scooters over to the ceremony :thup)

I've gotten several questions about where we are honeymooning.

Two answers: the first is that I am still working full-time (and this is our very busiest time of year). I worked Monday, we got married Tuesday, and I worked Wednesday. :( I know WORK is a four letter word, but I promise that all the proceeds are going into a fund called, "boat gas"! :)

The second answer (that I prefer) is this one: When Casey and I met, we hit it off instantly. I had owned a boat before (25' Pursuit with a walk-around cuddy), we both had scooters, we belonged to the same bicycling club. We had the same views on life, religion, politics...we had EVERYTHING in common. We were talking marriage within two months. But being the mature, responsible, and sensible adults that we are, we decided to take our HONEYMOON first! And if it went as well as we expected, THEN we would get married. So we spent 9 weeks on Katmai...2 weeks cruising the San Juan Islands, 4 weeks cruising the Broughtons and the waters of British Columbia and 3 weeks on Lake Powell. Not once did either of us push the other overboard! So down on one knee, at Rainbow Bridge at Lake Powell, Casey proposed. Just before the Lake Powell CBGT.

We left Lake Powell on Oct. 3rd and Casey's final test for me was a 3 week, 3200 mile cross-country trip pulling the travel trailer hitting lots of Walmart parking lots. hummm. I got him back by introducing him to 37 of my family members in 6 days. And then the real challenge...I went back to work and we settled into "real life". And as they say, the honeymoon was over! So, then we got married. :)

Never knowing what lies around the next bend, Casey and I have developed a philosophy of DESSERT FIRST! So, in this case it was HONEYMOON first!

Casey and I have lots of honeymoons in our future. My days of working full-time are numbered and we are busy getting everything set so that this coming summer will be just as Glorious as last. We have so many plans that we say, "our list is longer than our calendar". And if I get my way, Katmai will need to be re-powered regularly.
