I've gotten several questions about where we are honeymooning.
Two answers: the first is that I am still working full-time (and this is our very busiest time of year). I worked Monday, we got married Tuesday, and I worked Wednesday.

I know WORK is a four letter word, but I promise that all the proceeds are going into a fund called, "boat gas"!
The second answer (that I prefer) is this one: When Casey and I met, we hit it off instantly. I had owned a boat before (25' Pursuit with a walk-around cuddy), we both had scooters, we belonged to the same bicycling club. We had the same views on life, religion, politics...we had EVERYTHING in common. We were talking marriage within two months. But being the mature, responsible, and sensible adults that we are, we decided to take our HONEYMOON first! And if it went as well as we expected, THEN we would get married. So we spent 9 weeks on Katmai...2 weeks cruising the San Juan Islands, 4 weeks cruising the Broughtons and the waters of British Columbia and 3 weeks on Lake Powell. Not once did either of us push the other overboard! So down on one knee, at Rainbow Bridge at Lake Powell, Casey proposed. Just before the Lake Powell CBGT.
We left Lake Powell on Oct. 3rd and Casey's final test for me was a 3 week, 3200 mile cross-country trip pulling the travel trailer hitting lots of Walmart parking lots. hummm. I got him back by introducing him to 37 of my family members in 6 days. And then the real challenge...I went back to work and we settled into "real life". And as they say, the honeymoon was over! So, then we got married.
Never knowing what lies around the next bend, Casey and I have developed a philosophy of DESSERT FIRST! So, in this case it was HONEYMOON first!
Casey and I have lots of honeymoons in our future. My days of working full-time are numbered and we are busy getting everything set so that this coming summer will be just as Glorious as last. We have so many plans that we say, "our list is longer than our calendar". And if I get my way, Katmai will need to be re-powered regularly.
