The blue trimmed 22 that is in a slip behind us in Friday Harbor now has a name on it: "Sweet Dreams." Several people asked about that boat during the May gathering here; a nice couple who live on San Juan Island own the boat. I had a very pleasant visit with them a few days ago.
I saw StarcraftTom's unique 27 yesterday - up close and personal. LOTS of storage on that boat. Tom was in Friday Harbor and we had the opportunity to visit for a while, prior to the tour of his boat.
This week I spotted many c-dorys. Stopped and talked with Jim and Joan, fished next to check point two, fished near a unnamed 16 of lopez, spotted a gray 22 coming in to friday but was not ableto talk to them. On the run home I passed a 22 near cypress and waved. Also passed 2 22 in the channel leading to La conner, both with out names. Lots of cdorys out this week.
Spotted a white with black stripe and green bimini boat being pulled up the ramp at Coeur d'Alene Resort about 4 PM yesterday afternoon. Pulled by a white 4 door pickup. Nice looking rig.
First C-Dory sighting on the lake in the 5+ days we have been here.
C-Puffin docked next to me in newport yesterday. It is a 25 which I believe used to be owned by a former C-Dory staff member. We talked for awhile and come to find out we live in the same town. Small world.
Wandering the downtown dock this morning saw QT a green trim 22 with Honda 75 and kicker out of Florida. Nice boat Could not locate the crew. Welcome to Nanaimo! George
Having not seen a visiting C-Dory in Comox for over a year, have now had 5 visit in the last few days. Casey on Katmai has just left, heading for Desolation. Mike and Carole on Kestrel have just arrived. Welcome guys.
I guess Comox is finally being discovered by the Brats.
Anchored up next to a 1986 26' full cabin C-Dory (red stripe); MARYRED; when out fishing halibut in the Cook Inlet yesterday. Pic in my album.
We chatted back and forth on the CB 33 about the small halibut we both were catching. Great day though. Sunny, warm and no wind(flat water).
I just found this chat thread...I brought Halcyon back through 1800 miles of the northwest US and nobody saw me the first week of June? Maybe you guys are all out on the water and 'landings' dont count?
I dont see many c-dorys out on the Missouri River but lots of people are SEEING a c-dory.
I met the retired FL owners of QT at Sucia and forget their names now :-(
They are up here from St. Augustine, if I recall, and former sailors who often enjoyed the Bahamas in the wintertime.
They travel each summer, so more of us may be seeing them in the next two months. They lived on Whidbey at one point and have traveled the BC waters extensively. Enjoyable folks, naturally, who love their 22

Walked over to P Dock last evening to say hello to all the C-Brats. Guess you might say that we're having a mini CBGT right here in BHam. Up to four boats as of last night. Found out that a 19 CD had also tied up. Out of Portland and on their way to Salt Spring, BC. No name not on the boat but the owner calls it EVA SEA after his little girl.
Saw a tc255 at gate 8 Squalicum Harbor. Name is crabbing around. Nice looking boat with a second helm in the cockpit. It's a transient, but that makes three tomcats at gate 8.
Beautiful evening here in Bellingham...Computer says 71 degrees ...Warm enough to sit outside in the cockpit and enjoy a really nice visit with Dave and Carol (SEA SHIFT) along with their neighbors from Arlington. No wonder we haven't seen the SEA SHIFT crew out here on the PNW waters, they've been cruising on one of those big ships and taking in the sights of St Thomas and other Carribean islands. Thanks, Dave and Carol, for sharing with us the beautiful photos of your trip.
