It is great to see the numbers of vessels coming on board for this cruise. (Way to go Jeremiah for piloting Sensei).
In answer to a couple of questions that were just "pm'd" to me.
The number of miles that we will travel is about 30 miles....Just A Wild Guess.
As for charts? I will furnish each vessel with a serious of maps with highlighted courses. Naturally, we will stay together as a group....unless of course someone choose to trail off on their own. Additionally, we can stay on the same vhf radio frequency. Prior to departure, I'll highlight some of the "known" areas to be avoided, however bear in mind that this is a river with a series of connecting channels that are prone to change due to frequent flooding, so an element of caution is always appropriate along with prudent speed. If you follow the vessel in front of you, you should be OK.....I'll be happy to be the "point vessel". (To my knowledge none of our vessels have encountered problems in previous years).
The Everett Marina (it is the "Largest Public Marina on the West Coast) does have guest docking available with shore power availability. (Since Tom advised us of the fishing derby that is taking place the same weekend, I don't know if that will have an effect on guest dock space). The long dock in front of Anthony's Home Port Restaurant would be my preference, and it is best to try to get on the inside of that dock so you are not on the less protected river side. There is also dock space near Scuttlebutts Brewery which is located at the far east end of the marina.
You can "check" out the marina at

P.S. I forgot until looking at the Port of Everett web site that there is also moorage available at the new 12th Street Yacht Basin with shore power. This is located next to the 10th Street Boat Launch.
Yesterday I began the process of preparing more maps for this cruise.
