    2003 25 Cruiser, $58,000 (Charleston, SC)

Haven't been here in a while. Paula and I bought a house in Tucson in February 2005. This is our first house since 1993 when we took our Cal 31, Backstreets to the Sea of Cortez. For the last 5-6 years we were in Mexico we did most of our moving around on our CD-22, Cheery, and later our...

    2003 c-dory 22' blister problem

Since we have a green 2003 I was interested in these posts. We are in the water in Marina San Carlos now and I don't feel like diving on the bottom but the last time I looked we had no blisters. Jammin has spent as long as six months in saltwater and a month or so in fresh. We did have small...

    Another Leaky 25

The wet cabin sole in Jammin took a while to track down because it seemed to originate in the aft part of the boat when the water was actually coming from the anchor chain locker and flowing down the hidden concave channels in both chines. It would appear mostly after the boat went on plane and...

Jammin's Jungle Gym - Kayak Carrier - Radar Arch

I've posted three new pitures of Jammin's Jungle Gym. Included are closeups of the bimini fittings I used to avoid drilling holes. All the extra handhold area is nice. I will replace the most crucial set screws with machine screws tapped through the tubing. Not as pretty as arches but quite...

    Leaky 20 gallon tank

I'm not familiar with built in tanks on the 22. My 25 had leaks from both the fill hose and vent. Very unlikely tank is leaking is my guess. Can you see or feel tank where hoses enter?

Fresh Water Tank Level on 25?

We don't worry about the water level as much as we used to. I installed a PUR35 watermaker in the port aft closet. Works well using the nearby thru hull for supply. Dennis

Jammin's Jungle Gym - Kayak Carrier - Radar Arch

Of course the lighter the kayaks the less the stress. We are presently in Tucson where we bought a house last week. Being close to San Carlos to launch Jammin is important to us, We plan to cross the sea and go to La Paz about May 1.

Jammin's Jungle Gym - Kayak Carrier - Radar Arch

I have an Epic Recreational GP 12.5 ft http://www.epickayaks.com/products/kaya ... tional.htm Paula has an Eddyline Sanpiper. Heavier but much more stable than mine. http://www.eddyline.com/kayaks_info.cfm ... tType=Carb We are big fans of sit on tops but they are too heavy except maybe the...

Jammin's Jungle Gym - Kayak Carrier - Radar Arch

Of course you can actually try both in 30 minutes. Our kayaks weigh 33 and 35 honest, I weighed them, pounds. Both almost 11 feet. Weight is the important factor for me. I'd have a 16 foot kayak if it was a stable, affordable, 35 lbs. I do slide them over the pulpit. I, and they, seem...

Talk Patty into a Radar Arch

I don't see the downside of arches and would have one to hold up a sun awning if for nothing else. I am talking of a stern mounted arch. The extras are: kayak carrier, radar mount, antenna mount, clothes line, solar panel holder, anchor light, spot light etc. As you can see at the photos...

Jammin's Jungle Gym - Kayak Carrier - Radar Arch

Here is about everything I used except the tubing. I used the take apart slides to connect to the C-dory rails. http://www.bosunsupplies.com/Deck_RailFittings.CFM Dennis

Jammin's Jungle Gym - Kayak Carrier - Radar Arch

I have posted two pictures in the Jammin album of the stainless tubing structure I bolted on to Jammin. The kayaks are in Yakima Hull Raiser carriers. I come from the form follows function (Phil Bolger) school. Conventional arches are more pleasing to my eye but this is, for my purposes, more...
