    Lake Powell September Cruise

Denny...would be great to have you and Marilyn along. Just love those little tugs...and don't worry about speed...many of us aren't into speed either. Essential to get the Stan Jones Map of Lake Powell. You can order it on the internet from many places...or buy it when you get to the lake. It's...

    10/12 - 10/14 - Santa Barbara Seafood Festival

Jeff...Roger (Fishtales) handles all this for us. He makes arangements for the entire group at once...so you will for sure have a slip. He will collect the fees and forward one check to the harbor. Make sure he has your address so he can send you the packet...and you can get your check to him...

    Lake Powell September Cruise

Well...why don't we plan on meeting in Oak Canyon on Sunday the 23rd? That should give Dixie plenty of time to pack Brent's elk out and get it cut and wrapped and in the freezer before they come down to Powell. Now I just need to come up with some sort of major bribe to get Brent to bring a...

    Lake Powell September Cruise

Well I'll firm up my dates...I'll be launching Thursday September 20 in Wahweap. Will be headed uplake either that day or the next. We can plan on a general rendezvous at another time/place for those launching at one of the other ramps. This is really a great time to be on the lake. For those...

    Lake Powell September Cruise

We often cruise Lake Powell in September...a great time on the lake...crowds are gone...water is still warm...the weather has cooled. So I'm going to throw some dates out there...say Sept 20-30. The Jenny B has expressed interest...any other takers? I'll be happy to act as tour guide...we'll see...

    05/04 - 05/11 - Lake Powell

Yep...Stan Jones map pretty much a must have on Powell. Also, I like the Boaters Guide to Lake Powell by Michael Kelsey. It's really very hiking oriented...but has lots of good info of use to boaters. If you have a plotter...I would recommend you get the data for Powell. This will often be found...

    05/04 - 05/11 - Lake Powell

Warren...Wahweap has huge parking lots for trucks and trailers and it's included with your lake permit...which was $15 for a week last time I was there...or you can buy a permit for a year if you think you might go back within 12 months. There is a campground there also if you want to camp...or...

    05/04 - 05/11 - Lake Powell

Well...it can be tough to get this kind of thing firmed up...what with people coming from all over the country! To some of us (still working types) the dates are real important...and to others (retired types) it's which gathering do I want to go too? Someday. I'll be travelling to Powell on the...

    05/04 - 05/11 - Lake Powell

Warren...you might avoid some snow...if there is any. You still have a few passes to go over..most are only about 4000 feet or so...but many are much further south so they don't see as much snow as others to the north. Just drove from San Diego to Seattle and back for the boat show and didn't...

Joel...I don't think Roxy wants to be on Powell on Memorial Day weekend. If we waited until after the Delta Cruise we would be into Memorial Day. So it probably should be before the Delta Cruise. That way we can avoid the PWC crowd.

    05/04 - 05/11 - Lake Powell

Any dates would work for me...the Friday through Friday is the important thing for me. Steve...I think the best place to launch is Wahweap...more services available there. Also the town of Page, Az nearby for everything you might need...provisions etc. The other ramps on the lake might be better...

    05/04 - 05/11 - Lake Powell

Sounds good to me...I would probably launch on Friday the 4th and recover on the following Friday...the 11th...can only stay a week this time. For those folks on the 16's...lots of beach area's for camping...as Casey said. Easy to sleep on boat or set up a tent...but the weather can be...

Roy...just stop by the Harbor Patrol office...just a couple blocks south of the launch ramp...and sign up for a guest slip. The guest docks are just north of the ramp. Remember...don't pay for parking in the lot because it is included in the slip rental. Can't remember the fee...but as I recall...

    lazarette on port side

Well...it was nice while it lasted. I was concerned that the new hatch was not as heavily built as the old hatch...and sure enough...the new hatch has already failed. The hinge on the new is plastic...the old hinge made of metal. Guess it's back to the drawing board on this problem.

    Radar - Shortening Cable

George...much easier to just use the Raymarine 5 meter cable. Depending on where you bought your RADAR...you may be able to return the 15 meter cable in exchange for the 5 meter.
