HF Predator Generator vs Honda - HF sale

i use a Predator generator as a primary piece of equipment on my flounder Jon boat to run the lights for the duration of each charter and I do many charters each year. It is an 8750 max starting / 7000 running watts 13 HP...

fuel consumption on 2002 22 cruiser w 100 HP yamaha

You should average about 3.5 - 4 mpg depending on weight in boat, speed, prop pitch, hydrofoil and/or trim tabs. Here's a chart from a similar thread:

    Roof Top Cargo Carrier

Jay, do you have any pics of your rack setup on your boat? I really like the high top option on the 22!

    Roof Top Cargo Carrier

Has anyone installed a roof top carrier on their roof and if so what kind and how did you attach it? I was looking at the c-dory.com site and enjoying the magnificent Alaskan wildlife photos by Mr. Souders and then noticed the roof top cargo carrier aboard his C-Dorry 22, the C-Sick. It looks...

    C dory for sale

What year is the motor? $5,500 sounds like a good buy for a 16' Angler even if it is an '83 especially with a Suzuki 50.

    Resting 1981 Classic on seafloor

The C-Dory is reknown as a beachable boat with its flat hull and bottom paint molded into the gel coat. I've since sold the boat but heres a couple of beached pic of mine when I had it:

    Competition for the 23 Ranger

While i do like the sliding glass door i don't really like the single front window and prefer the c-dory windows where the middle window can open to access the fresh breezes. Also, i prefer a single bow rail as opposed to the two bow rails for strength and looks. Its hard to beat the look of a...

    What's better?

i have a 2000 honda 90 with over 3,000 hours and so im partial to the honda outboards but believe most 4-strokes nowadays are dependable with proper use and maintenance. which one is better depends upon at minimum a visual inspection under the cowling for signs of corrosion, maybe a compression...

    Portable toilet

We use disposable garbage bags and cat litter with ours. It saves a lot of work and keeps the pp like new and pretty much unused as far as surface contact because cleaning a pp can be a pain in the rear (no pun intended).

    Operating Costs

Here are some things I found work to properly-maintain a C-Dory and keep expenses at minimum: * Flush thoroughly after each use, * Always use ethanol free fuel, * Use only fresh fuel, * Rinse the boat off completely after each use, * Wax it a couple times a year (prevents oxidation of...

Benefits of hydraulic steering on a 16 angler?

Another benefit of hydraulic steering is that you can connect an autopilot which i don't believe is possible with mechanical steering.

    Cruising into the open ocean

I really wouldn't be able to give an accurate answer as i fill up the portable tanks without remembering how fast I was going and for how long etc. It just seems that upon refilling the mileage is around 5 - 6 mph for the gas used as compared to the gps distance covered.

    Cruising into the open ocean

Normal cruising speed is 16 - 18 mph. I've had it up to 26 mph and there was still some throttle left. That was with the boat loaded with gear and the two, 26-gallon tanks almost full. However during the last year I''ve enjoyed the Cruiser for slow sightseeing rides around Amelia Island where I...

    Cruising into the open ocean

I like having twin outboards for performance, planing, economy, stability, responsive handling, easier docking / turning and outstanding load capacity. If in the open ocean and something happened to one of the motors I like the option of getting back with 1/2 horsepower vs 1/10th horsepower (as...

Vehicle to tow a 22' Cruiser

I tow my 22 Cruiser with a Navigator 4wd. Its rated at 6,000 towing capacity. I like to use 4wd "low" for pulling the boat out of the water at the lower tides levels. There seems to be less stress on the motor and transmission.

Suggestions for mutlifunction gps/radar 2k budget

I have a 24" Garmin radome combined with a 720s Garmin GPS (7" screen). It was previously installed on shorter mount but I went with a taller mount which seemed to improve separation and definition qualities. Spacers mounted underneath the back keep the unit parallel to the water when underway.
