    Tohatsu OB's

Marty: I did the same thing today. Great minds think alike. AND in DE there is no sales tax. Hey Sneaks, I don't think you will see too many 'I Like Ike" bumper stickers around these days, especially in the Gulf! Poor folks. Bill

    Tohatsu OB's

dotnmarty: Thanks for digging that up. What I'm interested in is what the Tohatsu costs vs. the popular four strokes. I have a 4 year old Suzuki 140 (4 stroke) on my Trophy and can not say enough good things about it. Fine motor. Just looking to save some bucks on a good motor. And some weight...

Looks like the largest four stroke they make - according to their website -is 30hp. The tldi motors run from 40 to 115 hp. I'm just curious about this line of motors because I have a couple friends with older 2 strokes - not tldi - and they are very happy with them. Bill

Hey Mal: Thanks for the reply. May I ask how much it cost vs. a four stroke? Also, how do you like the back to back seating? Have not seen that before. Thanks, Bill

    Tohatsu OB's

Anyone have one? Looking for a replacement for the old Merc on @C.. I know they are 2/s but are supposed to be as efficient as 4/s and less expensive. Input? Thanks, Bill

  9. That's me in Jefferson Creek off the lagoons where I am moored. Headed out to Little Assawomen Bay and eventually where I met another 16' C-Dory.
A good friend took this with her new lens and she framed it to perfection.

  10. @C on the dock in Bethany Beach with the mooring cover on. Worked great when the rains of Hanna rolled through.

    C-Dory Sightings

Was making calls on Rt. 301 in Bowie, MD, last Friday, and saw a 25 being towed south. Blue with no name. Tried to give the driver a thumbs up, but he was towing a load and concentrating on the job. MD registration, so, we have them here on the right coast too. Bill Yeah, and what's up with...

    Tom Cat Scuppers & Macerator

I had a similar problem with my Trophy. I replaced the rubber flaps with a set of Rebud scuppers. They work well. They are a plastic hosing with a floating ball inside. Took me about 10 min. to replace them both. @C doesn't have scuppers, so I'm not sure if they will work on your boat. Good...

    22 Cruiser

Marc makes good observations about the market. C-Dory's are worth what YOU think they are - not the "rating" companies worth. Before I bought @C, I asked BUS rating service what they thought the boat was worth, and they came back with - "so little activity and info on recent sales" about 2 to 3...

    Towing with a Sequoia?

What's the tow rating on your Jeep? V8/V6? Towing package? If you have the tow package with tranny cooler and large radiator, you should be good. Unless you really want a new SUV, the Jeep might work fine. I tow my 6000 lb. Trophy with my '05 JGC just fine. 5.7 V8 My .02. Bill

Suzuki Outboard Engine Shut Down While Underway

C-Nile: I have a 140 Suzuki on my other boat which had performed flawlessly until this year's launch. The first time I put her in to do some trophy rockfishing on the Chesapeake with some friends, it started up fine and idled at the dock for 15 minutes Then I pulled out into the creek and gave...

    Sticky Suggestion

Roger has it. As I have used the search function, it takes a while to root out what you want from the individual posts, I'm all for a FAQ's section. Then after reading that, new Q's could be asked if the FAQ didn't satisfy. I have asked questions and been referred to previous threads, which...

Hi All: I would like to thank Mike and Bill and all of you for making this site the best boat specific site on the web. You have helped me enormously. Right on Mike! And I am a mere 3500 miles away, more or less. The former BVP Bill, now @ C. Bill
