    Interesting question - C-Dory Warranty

Seems my 5 year warranty has become a 4 month warranty. My only comment is that it is about time for Sea Sport to chime in and let us know their intentions on this issue. I know they are aware of us and following this discussion. I have no expectations, I just want to know where I stand. I do...

    Rod Holders

Go to burnewiin.com and see what you think. I put them on our 16C. Basically a splined socket that mounts flush. You then can slide in and lock rod holders, cleats, fillet knife or downrigger mounts. They come stainless steel or glass reinforced nylon.

    V-berth in the 16' cruiser

On the new boats, that forward bulkhead is glassed in place and injected with foam. Don't know what year they started doing it this way. Our album has pictures of this, including converting that area into an anchor locker.

    V-berth in the 16' cruiser

Well, it is 6' long, about 4 1/2 to 5' wide and pretty narrow at the bow. I can get better measurements on the width when I get home if no one else does before then.

    Fore-and-aft trim for 16 Cruiser

What I have found on C-squirt is something like this: on calm days if I feel it is more difficult to turn to starboard I have trimmed too far down. If the bow porpoises, I have the motor too far up. I usually trim up until the bow starts to gently bob and drop it back down just until it stops...

    16C Trim Tabs

Wow, three replies minutes after posting and all from the 16' clan! I'am in agreement with all of your' replies. Had to throw this out for discussion as my Dad has a 23' Grady White that he runs out of Garibaldi, OR. He informed me that any "real" boat 16' or bigger should have trim tabs. I do...

    C-Dory Quality Control

I don't have a sat phone but, I do have a new 16 Cruiser. The only Q.C. issue we have seen was that the foam filled bow was only about 2/3rds "full". Doubt that it mattered, as this was a sealed compartment. I removed some of this foam for an anchor locker anyway. Using the "tap tap" method I'am...

    16C Trim Tabs

We have a 16 Cruiser that we use primarily on the Columbia and John Day Rivers. Will take it to Tillamook Bay at least once this year. We have a Honda 50 EFI with a Perma-Trim that does a good job of controlling pitch. I'am curious what everyone may think of putting trim tabs on this little...

update on 75 honda 2004 four stroke

Hey, I've got one of those motors. Just hit 6.7 hours on the meter. I really like it. Wonder if I should get it listed on Craigs' List before everyone figures out it is really obsolete. This whole thing is getting outrageously out of hand. Create 130,000 new jobs and a large percentage of people...

    hour meter 300 about actual

Well, I don't think it would help to put the motor in reverse and turn the key on (kidding). I know that car odometers and hour meters on other types of equipment are pretty secure to protect buyers from fraud. If you want the meter to reflect true hours, the only thing I can think of is to...

    Attn. Sea Wolf

I have been reading the thread about design practices, I have only one comment. We just recently outfitted a new 16-C, which included using a hole saw in both gunnels, the foredeck and cutting a large hole in the forward interior bulkhead. Also miscellanious small holes in the transom and...

    This is Terrible

Maybe they are temperature sensitive and will turn C-Dory Blue when it warms up!

    This is Terrible

Let's hope they were printed in China. Then we could hope they would be re-called for lead content and replaced with a different color! I don't think of myself as vain, but these really are ugly for just about any color of boat.
