We have seen the 83' C dory at Island Marine Center and while the Honda 90 looks pretty good the boat itself is extremely worn. Its probably the roughest looking Cdory we have ever seen. It needs a transom for sure and possibly alot more.
This type of thing really makes my blood boil!!! We can't do anything in todays world without thinking in terms of protecting our property. I guess I won't say what should be done to the @#*+!%#@ thieves. Glad you got your boat back and I hope they didn't mess it up too bad. Part of the problem...
Last year there were some complaints of water in the fuel at Stehekin. Supposedly 25 mile and the lower lake were ok for fuel. As mentioned there are rattle snakes and it can blow but what a great lake.
For a deodorant we have used "AQUA-KEM" by Thetford for years and have been totally satisfied. (use quite abit less than instructions and no odor). Boy, this appears to be one of the more popular topics!
Had many discussions with Mark Toland (mid 90's) about various C dory issues and this was one of them. The inner spashwell is cut lower to let the water out should you take a big wave (not to see the motor better although thats a benift). Partial self bailing and he recommended not to alter it...
I had a 75' scout 11 with a 304ci. Tough little rig. It was clean (probably not as nice as yours) and I sold it for $2400. The previous postings are right. You are going to have to throw some money in on that trade for a decent Cdory.
I moved from a single axle EZ loader to a tandem axle king in 2004 and have had zero problems. I have always liked the EZ but the single axle was too light and I could'nt get a perfect fit with the EZ tandem (I know they are adjustable but this was the conclusion of Les at EQ and EZ loader...
Here's my 2 cents. Sounds like everyone likes the electric so far but personally I would stick with the manual (get water with both the downward and upward stroke of the foot pump). Ours is a 1991 and still works great. When it finally goes out we will replace it with something similier. The...
The tundra is probably a great truck but I have to agree with C Roamer i.e., It's really hard to beat a Cummins diseal - proven reliability, power, simplicity, economy, longevity etc, etc, etc. Good luck.
we have had one for 14 yrs and would'nt be without it. Primarliy for safety but we also attach an sun shade etc. It gets in the way alittle when having to work on the motors from the cock pit but we feel its an absolute nesessity.
Thanks Larry and Pete for the comments. We are running interstate wet cell lead acid batteries and they are 2 yrs old. We have had our entire electrical system checked out by our local OMC mechanic and he says its A-OK. I have never had the control box alarm go off (did'nt know I had one)...
Hi Larry. We have tried what you suggested i.e. turn on all electrical accesories and at first this will drop the voltage down to what you mentioned (around 14 volts), but then it seems to creep back up over time, so not sure what to do. Can a regulator of some sort just be added into the system?
Need some advice please. We have a 1991 22' cruiser with the original 70hp Johnson with about 700 hrs on it. It has been pretty much flawless over the years. This motor has a non regulated system (No voltage regulator). Hears my problem. last yr we replaced the stator/retifier and we can now get...
A 1 gallon garden sprayer! Never thought about that. Pretty good idea if you want to keep it simple plus it could work also when the electricity goes out at home. Hmmmm.
