Your Next "Boat Bike?"

I saw that on another forum. Between 3,500 and 3,900 Euros - not inexpensive! My concern with that little-bitty wheel would be crossing railroad tracks or other "slippery" metal stuff. Interesting design, though.

How's the new boat treating you?

Best wishes,
Jim

Jim,

The new boat is Fantastic! L O V E I T ! ! !

I'm in Everglades City, and will be here another night, then (hopefully) headed to Flamingo early tomorrow.

One of the staff at the North Carolina Outward Bound basecamp here in Everglades City asked about the derivation of my boat name ("Katmai"). The comeuppance was they invited me to stay on their dock for the night, and I wangled another night out of them so plan to leave Thursday morn.

Whoever said there are mosquitos in Everglades City; was R I G H T ! ! !

I limited out on mosquitos last night, but since they permit you to have a two day limit onboard, I'm safe for another night. Sundown is interesting, but if you have a couple Scotches Early, it's tolerable. Anyone know why some skitters simply Smoosh, while other seem to have Blood in them???

...well, Duh....

Best,
Casey

Because females are bloodsuckers.

If I was Warren, I'd be more concerned about the cold, wet Puget Sound...

P.S. The Puget Sound is DEEP too....

Very clever and original. My two concerns are range (pretty low) and price (pretty high). Lastly, at least in the midwest, there are many areas around the rivers and lakes that are quite hilly, and I wonder how it does on grades. Does one carry it over the steep hills or cobblestones? I'm not sure if I have the guts to do a Tour de France type decent on one!

I had the same thought about this revolutionary bike's ability to go up a hill. I didn't see it addressed in comments or the video.

I have a folding pedal powered Worksman bike plus a 2 cycle friction engine. When the motor won't make a hill, you just start to pedal
