Wtb 22 c dory cruiser

Look at the ads on the home page, right lower corner--C Dory for sale. Generally you have to be ready to travel unless you happen to live near one. I bought my 22's both 1200 miles from "home" in opposite directions--and my 25 about 1400 miles from "home".

As for price--somewhere between $25,000 and $35,000 depending on condition and gear on the boat. There is a forum where you should be able to see what boats sold for. The price is going to be higher than NADA or BUC--most boats are sold via this forum.

We didn't have to go quite as far as Bob, but it seems pretty common that C-Dory owners traveled to get their boats. ours was about 325miles. If you find a 2000 or newer for $25k snatch it up, it wont last long. I think $30k is a more likely starting point. I like to watch yachtworld.com as well
 
We have a couple coming in here in Eastpoint Fl. There is no "home port on your signature , so I don't know how far we are from you . Ill have a 1998 22 and a 2006 22 coming within the next month.

by a long shot. and some banks value them even below book. I paid more for my C-Dory than the original buyer did in 1988 but I still feel like I was given a very good price. they are kind of a collectible, people don't like to let them go.

A strong reason why I want to buy is the community within c dory owners:)

it was a major selling point to me. I felt that at any given time I could access a large group of experts, other owners with more experience than myself, with the exact same boat. Everyone here has been great to help me through my naivety.
 
Please understand that the numbers I gave you are for a boat built in the year 2000. As the boats get newer, the price will go up significantly. The $25,000 number you are looking at is most likely going to be a 1990's era boat. Remember than many of these are in just as good condition (or better) than some of the newer boats and many have upgraded motors and electronics--thus are a much better buy than a newer boat. I would not be afraid to buy a boat built in the 90's--but do check out the bottom and transom core an any boat you consider. Otherwise the condition is usually fairly evident.
 
thanks everyone for the help I decided I wanted to buy a c dory 22 cruiser and found one in 5 days and we cruised a few day ago and loved it
