I haven't rushed into installing a stereo system because I tend to prefer the sounds of silence, like osprey calls, bullfrogs, and the breeze. On the other hand I've been out tubing with my son and his 14 year old buddies and some music would have added to the fun. Now I'm reading about the new (for release 5/15) Big Jawbone Jambox. It's a wireless bluetooth speaker that could play iTunes from my iPhone. Set it at the helm when I need some Ride of the Valkyries, set it in the cockpit with some classic rock when I'm sipping champagne with my wife.
Light weight and wireless, with a rechargeable battery (they say 15 hrs worth, count on less). I'm sure it doesn't have the deep down thump that I like in my music but I will be looking into this one. Rarely but occasionally, a beer, a hotdog, and some Led Zeppelin beats the sounds of silence.
