Where to mount a 5hp inflatable engine on my C-Dory stern.

Would love to hear from anyone where to mount a 5hp inflatable engine on my C-Dory 25 stern and what kind of mount. I have a swim platform on the port side of stern.

Hung my Suzuki 3.5 over the railing inside of the cockpit, worked fine for us. Think I placed a robber mat or something around the skeg so not to damage the cockpit glass.
Didn’t know if you intended to use the 5hp for a kicker, that wouldn't work than.

We have a swing down mount because since the 3.5 2 stroke is a short shaft we use for the dinghy. The mount we use is similar to this:

When we don't carry it there, we do as breausaw and put it on the railing. Same fo rate Torqeedo electric motor--which is a long shaft.

The swing down mount is on the Starboard side, a little inboard of half of the way between the outboard side of the transom and the splash well cut out. We bring the motor up on its tilt and then the bracket all of the way up for running. We do secure it with a line around the back of the gas tank.

Had a rail for the splash well made and mount the Suzuki 2.5 horse there.
