Where are all the Marinauts?

Oldgrowth:

"Bob {Thataway} gave you some bad information about the Marinaut.
The Marinaut and C-Dory 22 are similar. The transom or stern of the Marinaut is not perfectly flat like the 22. It is more like the C-Dory 23 Venture.
Look at the line drawings in the post above here. Click on the left drawing and it will be big enough to read the draft based on how the boat is loaded.
.......The Marinaut has a longer waterline than the 22. This and the hull design gives it a smoother ride in choppy water. In flat water or real rough water, you won't notice any difference. The Marinaut is more customizable than the 22.

Some differences are the Marinaut is a little shorter than the 22 and an inch narrower but has a slightly bigger deck, slightly bigger cabin a much bigger berth than the 22. The Marinaut is also lighter than the 22, however this difference is only in the hull. "

My apology if I gave any "bad information". The numbers I posted were what I was told about the current Marinaut. I have not been in contact with Ricardo for a number of years. I declined to have him bring the boat he was delivering to Perdido Bay, opposide side from where I Iive to look at.

I enlarged your drawing, and the deadrise at the transom seemed to be about 4 degreees at the transom. You are the expert.

How much longer is the Marinaut's waterline than the 22? I nave only run along side a Marinaut once at lake Powell alongside my C Dory 25, so not a fair comparison. It seemed to be riding about the same as the 25 in 1.5 to 2 foot chop.

I had talked to Ricardo once about building a Marinaut at ome time, but after investigation decided not to have one built. He was looing for an investor, and I declined on that also.
