What did santa get for the c-dory?

Wild Blue gets what she needs throughout the year, but this Christmas she'll get a couple new passengers aboard - our daughter and son-in-law are flying in today. While they've seen Wild Blue, they've never been aboard her in the water. Our daughter is not a "water person" (her words  ) and has not particularly appreciated our previous sailboats. My Christmas wish is that we see some dolphins and have nice weather while she's here... I say it's her "bad karma"... it seems that everytime she visits us here, the weather goes into the toilet. And the only time we don't see dolphins is when she's aboard. The last time they were out with us on our trimaran, I told her before we left, "If you put out bad vibes, they can sense that. Be happy and excited to be out on the water and we will see them." She did, we did, and we all had a great time. :xlol

Christmas Day is supposed to be sunny and 75º. :D

Merry Christmas, C-Brat friends.

Anna Leigh got her Christmas present early this year. In September she got a new Raymarine 1000 autopilot. I am planning on taking her out for an overnight between now and years end.

Captain's Cat got a roof over her boat lift (finally). Waterproof paper down, shingles to go down as soon as the matching ones come (will match the new house).

Merry Christmas to all!!

Charlie

Well, Daydream isn't getting anything unless Mrs. Claus has a surprise up her apron, but Crabby Lou is going to get a few things (I know this because I am a personal friend of Santa Claus, and his banker, you might say). Crabby Lou is getting a fixed mount VHS radio (only had a handheld on her up to now), and two of those nifty fold down stainless steel steps so Mrs. Claus can get on and off a little more gracefully! I wouldn't be surprised if there were a gimballed cup holder or two!

Do the neighbors ever complain about all that Navy Grey?

Jenny B got a coupon for a full load of fuel at my fuel dock of choice.

Merry Christmas from sunny (but a cold 49 degrees at 8am) San Diego

No complaints. I painted it to match a submarine and they can't see it (except for the periscope!!)

How do I know? Santa has not come to our boat yet.

Although Wendy did let me go on line to West Marine and order more stuff that she doesn't think I need (She thinks the boat will sink if I put anything more on it). When will she learn that one can never have to much boat stuff.

I let you know tomorrow when I open them and looked surprised.

Hope you have a Marry Christmas.

We did christmas early due to work :amgry . Anyway I got a new VHF/Cellular antenna and cell signal amplifier. I'm eager to see if I can increase my offshore cell range. Probably won't be offshore far enough to know until late spring but I'll report my findings.

I don't expect to receive anything for "Sea Shift" or anything nautical this Christmas.....but I am certainly NOT complaining as I equipped "Sea Shift" so well when I initially purchased her and I continue to be blessed by her!

Jessica already gave me the best Christmas gift!.....she just received notice of acceptance to Western Washington University in Bellingham.....that way we can take "Sea Shift" up to the Bellingham Marina, plop it in the water and be close to her to keep an "eye on her"... :smiled ..... she hasn't made a final decision yet, so please don't tell her that or she'll decide to go to college somewhere in the middle of the Sahara desert where there is NO WATER arouund...

A new Harken cam cleat, a SeaDog stern eye, and a piece of star board, all for anchor/mooring line management. Santa likes for me to have a small project for each time I visit the boat. Santa gulped at the high price of star board. HoHoHo Mike.

Jay,

Let me know when you have the radio in it. I'll give you a call and make motor noises in the background.

Congrats on the new boat. Plan your first trip in early April and I might see you out in PWS. Unless you take it Homer for the Winter King Tournament.

The Santa Express came early and took a detour by way of the factory and delivered new C-Dory Logos for Papillon. Now all I have to do is get the old ones off. Even with the heat gun, Goofoff and elbow grease I am saving that chore for my New Years Resolution....or sooner.

What Mike said. Our C-Dory did not come with the logo on so I have it and am waiting for a warm spell. Also, Santa dropped by a really beautiful wheel hub, of Arbutus wood. Thank you Santa, Dave, and John.

The HIGH TIDE got a new wooden turned wheel hub. It is a beauty and I am anxious to install it.
It also got the new current CG registration with the appropriate decals waiting until spring.
