Still way behind Joe though...

This note from the City Manager of Falls City:

According to time stamps, approximately half of those posts were made during working hours. Figuring your lawyerly speed, an average of 30 minutes per post (and allowing for brief (?) browsing), we figure you owe the city...

75,000 minutes

OR 1,250 hours

OR, assuming a 6 hour day (figuring the time you spend on this forum, we'd be lucky to get 6 hours out of you), 208.3 work days.

Figuring holidays, weekends, personal days... when you retire, you will owe the city approximately 2 years of non-paid service. Or, you may pay the equivalence of 2 years salary to be able to retire on time.

Your immediate attention to this matter is recommended before we turn this over to ... um... the city's legal department.

Sincerely,
The City Manager

PS Get back to work!

Thank you for your contributions over the years. You're kinda cool to have around.

Now watch real close for when we reach 4000 members.

Pat- Congratulations! Couldn't happen to a nicer fellow! (Though we know Patty does 5% of your posts so you're still 250 short!) Maybe you can BUY some post points from Uncle Don?

Jim- Great laugh! Best in quite a while! You're much funnier than Captain Jim in the comic strip!

TyBoo and Bill- Thanks for making it all possible! The Good Karma Check is in the mail!

Y'all- Stay tuned! Though this is not a contest, Rogerbum is keeping score, and sooner or later Thataway Bob will slip past me, though it's not an issue anymore like it was four or so years ago when Pat and I went at it for the Title! This is such a great place to make friends!

At least I'm retired and my time is my own to do as I please with (I think, but my wife isn't so sure.)

Joe. :thup

That is more than enough time to drive to New York, cruise the Erie Canal in its' entirety, return to Washington and take in a few weeks of cruising in Canada and the San Juans. Too bad you'll have to wait a couple more years than you figured on to do this trip. .

In reality, I'm quite certain that Patty is responsible for 99.9% of the those posts that you are attributing to him.

Yeah, and just wait til the City Mgr. of Snoqualmie hears that he is also punched in down the road in Fall City! :embarrased Way to go Pat!

Pat,

If I may add a note of seriousness here :wink , I want you to know your contributions to this site are most appreciated. Your wit, wisdom and willingness to share are great attributes, and the adventures (lug nuts and wheel bearings included) are steps many of us have taken because you have shown that we can do more "stuff". Thanks and looking forward to the next 5K.
