Wallas stove power troubleshooting help

My wallas stove stopped working recently. Upon inspection with a multimeter i have determined there to be an open in the hot lead (negative has continuity still). My mind first went to a blown fuse but every fuse on the bus looked and meggered fine. Also i couldn't find one labeled for the Wallas. This is a 2007 Tomcat and I believe this wallas was put in while the boat was being built.

Does anyone know where the fuse for the Wallas stove normally is?

Does anyone think it may be something else?

Due to the large power draw of the stove it's usually wired directly to the battery with an inline fuse holder. I would look in your battery compartment, the fuse should be less than 1' from the battery connection.(Or at least that's the way mine was wired before I rewired everything!)

I don't think the power draw is the only reason for connecting directly to the battery. When you shut the thing off it doesn't really shut off until it thinks it's cool enough. Hooking directly to the battery provides additional insurance it doesn't shut off too early, before it thinks it's cool enough to shut off its fan.

Just hope it's as simple as a fuse. If something else is wrong, like the circuit board, you'll probably have to ship it off to the manufacturer for repair. My solution after this had happened several times was to replace the Wallas with an Origo alcohol stove, which has two moving parts, needs no electricity, and I can probably fix it if it breaks, which is unlikely.
 
There a two fuses on each of my stoves (I have two stoves), a 20 and a 2 amp. The 2 amp seems to burn out every year or so. I haven't a clue why. Other than that the only problem I have is with old fuel...it won't burn hot. Hearing all of the problems others have I feel pretty lucky overall.

I'm getting no power to the unit. At the moment i have no reason to believe there is anything wrong with the stove its self, just an open somewhere on that positive lead.

There is a 30 amp fuse coming of the battery that is in good shape perhaps that is the lead. further investigation needed i guess.
 
I love the Wallas - it is a great solution to cooking and heat on a small boat. I had two issues over the years, and a call to Scan Marine in Seattle helped me analyze and fix each with no need to take the unit out. They over-nighted me the part I needed on one occasion, and included install instructions.

Check all of the leads to the batteries, as Brewkid noted, the Wallas was wired directly to one of the batteries. It may be the start or the house--some times it does not make sense where they took it from.
 
problem solved. the lead was no connected to the battery when the battery was changed. Surprisingly mine was connected to the stbd engine battery.
