Enough of the teasers...we took delivery yesterday. Meet Wagmore.

What a day...

Started off with a chartered flight from Port Angeles to Anacortes, where we were greeted bright and early by Joe and Ruth's Taxi Service for the quick delivery to Cap Sante Marina. And, as if the pickup/delivery wasn't enough - Ruthie provided us with a yummy loaf of zucchini bread to enjoy on the long cruise back home. Love you guys...yer the best!

We spent a while getting situated at the dock while attempting to get the butterflies settled in my stomach. When it became clear that wasn't going to happen, we shoved off anyway - navigating the extremely skinny channel at the edge of the marina, with big buck yachts within feet to port, and the rocks of Anthony's taunting me on the other side. Not exactly an angst-free initiation, but uneventful and we were quickly out of the marina - where we were greeted with 5+ hours of this:

That's more like it.

She's now in her slip in Port Angeles, with projects a plenty being considered. Most of which will await fall and winter...too much fun to be had on the water over the next few months.

Enjoyed the video :thup It was a beautiful day :thup It looks like the Straight of Juan de Fuca wanted Wagmore to have a new home in Port Angeles :thup

PS: How much bread was left by the time you got home?

Oops...was I supposed to share that?

I'm still munching on it with this morning's cappuccino. I doubt it will last the day.

Speaking of which, first order of business - where to put the espresso machine.

Bill-

What a sweetheart of a boat! Well chosen!

I'm sure you, Dana, and the pups will enjoy Wagmore for many years to come!

Congratulations, my friend!

Joe. :teeth :thup

Very nice! :thup :thup Yes, your timing was perfect: a beautiful day on the water yesterday. Thursday... not so much. 4 and 5 footers south of Cattle Pass. We were working our way back in (it came up fast); the 100 foot Victoria Star decided to "poke out and take a look"... they turned right around and came back in. No one in the Strait was having a good day. Would not have been the best choice for "New Boat Day!"

We wish you many years of happiness with that beautiful boat!

Jim & Joan

Thanks for the kind words, my CB pals.

Just finishing up project #1 - installing midship cleats. We've an upwind slip in the marina, and when the afternoon westerlys get blowing...sliding into the spot is pretty tough with just fore/aft cleats.

We'll be out for the first cruise in a few days. I'll be dropping in to Friday Harbor on the 4th, where Dana will be flying in to join me for a few days cruising the San Juans and Gulf Islands with the hounds. If anyone is in the area (Jim/Joan?), drop me a PM and we'll see about hooking up. We'll be easy to spot...the only Nordic flying one of these.

Lovely boat Bill.

Had the pleasure of playing with one of those a couple of years ago and was sorely tempted.

I guess that settles the single vs twin argument for you :-)
Where do the oars fit?
