Anyone know if you can by the CFX series portable refrigerators in the USA. Maybe I am missing something online, but I only see the dometic cf 35 in the states.

Thanks

The factory site shows "seconds" for the CFX 50. We have a CF 50 which has been great. How much difference is there with the CFX? They seem to claim a bit less current draw, and i one model at least, a split between refer and freezer. We used the CF 50 at Powell, used the insullated jacket and kept it in the shade. A Group 31 did well over a 24 hour time. This would put the current draw at about an average of just about 1.5 amp hour by my guess, but did not do a timed study.

Thanks Dr. Bob for the info on the CF 50. I will probably just end up getting the CF 35. The lower current draw of the CFX models had me interested in them, I think other than that their basically the same units. Was the 50 big enough for your trip to lake Powell. I haven't seen the 35, 40, 50 in person yet, but I will before I make the purchase.

We looked at all of the models (and had owned several Norcold chest types in the past). For our use the 50 was ideal. It was enough for a month of frozen entrees, supplemented with our fish catching.
