I agree fully with you. My point when I wrote that sentence was to set down what I've heard others say (especially the religious).
 
If everything in the world was nice and tidy as the British say, then we would be in Heaven or it would be heaven on earth. I can tell you that as a Christian Pastor I let the Higher Authority deal with these matters and worry my night sleep with Honda vs Yamaha or perhaps dual engines vs a single motor or Bennet vs Leno to To Permatrim or Not to Permatrim. That being said, why is it that all seemingly good deals on a 22 are thousands of miles from my home in Nevada?

Yes and people are born, sadly, with myriad birth defects so your argument regarding XXY, XYY and XXXY etc is moot. As to "gender" vs "sex" it appears a very convenient false differentiation. Kinda like life begins at conception.

But to know either of the above, you'd actually have to have faith and cherish and value life.

So how is the weather where you live and what is the price of regular gas at your local Costco ($2.84 in Henderson - Nevada). Also, can you buy ethanol free gas close to home or to the launch ramp you use? All very safe discussion topics. Bob
 
So skimming this thread with a view of one of those northern lefties, has me wondering. If the covid vaccines are different south of the 49th parallel. If I got vaccinated in the god ol' USA, am I likely to become an homosexual or one of the other letters in the spectrum that I don't really know what they mean. Will God call me home if I am vaccinated or will I have to look for other options. Of maybe I will be a subject of some Asian experiment to take control of the world, or maybe men didn't really land on the moon and that Marilynn Monroe, JFK, Elvis and Saskquatch are alive and well in living in Trump Tower and maybe I drank too much wine tonight. This thread has become rather entertaining and really no longer has anything to do with boats or boating. I'm having fun reading it, keep up the conversation.
 
Just to keep everything going, I understand that all humans start out as female and those who have an XY chromosome leave that state and develop as males. This change leaves a wide spread for differences to occur. We certainly understand that the process works in the great majority to become male or female, but certainly the process allows for some spread. I understand that spread is ~10% of humans and since it has gone on for millennia, is natural.

I also understand, no-one is going to change their opinion. We all hear what we want to hear.

If you get the vaccine you get implanted with a microchip created by Bill Gates that allows him to control your mind (so they say). As if running 76% of the world's personal computers wasn't enough. If it makes people work as well as Windows does, we're all doomed.
 
In connection to vaccine,

My daughter who just turned 18 got her first dose of the vaccine today. She had to wait for almost 3 hours but she got it! Her 2nd dose got automatically scheduled.

Talk to places who are administering vaccines if you're interested. They have the no waste policy and you can get yours if you're patient enough to wait.

My wife and I completed ours since we both work in the hospital. My other daughter who is 21 y/o completed hers too since she does volunteer work in Swedish hospital.

I have been an exclusive Mac user for 30 years, so will the Bill Gates Micro Chip that is being injected into my arm tomorrow work on me? Also the Astro-Zenica vaccine I am getting tomorrow was made in India, will Bill Gates need a translator program to steal all my personal information? Or can Bill Gates still steal all my information from Google and Facebook without the microchip? Too many questions, maybe I should keep hiding under my rock so the rest of the world can't see me.

The problem here is that once a vaccine goes into distribution there is no control group as there was during testing. During testing if a bad outcome is discovered, the way scientists determine whether or not there is a risk to the general population is to compare the number of such events in the group that received the vaccine vs the control group that got the placebo. If the frequency of occurrence is the same in both groups, then the vaccine is not to blame. Once distribution begins (at least in an accelerated situation like COVID), when events occur there is no control group to compare to; so one doesn't know if the event was caused by the vaccine or was it just a natural occurrence that would statistically have happened anyway.

The European trials have stopped to make this determination. The odds favor that it is a coincidence, not that the cause is the vaccine.

Reg. unleaded this morning $3.09 & you cant buy ethanol in Alaska that I am aware of :thup

Yes I have been following that closely. There were a few cases where there were blood clots in patients that were given the Astra-Zeneca vaccine in Denmark. Denmark admits that there is no evidence that these clots were caused by the vaccine, but they and a several other countries temporarily halted using this vaccine to determine if it really was the cause. All of the cases were related to one batch of the vaccine made I think in England. It is also made in by the Serum Institute of India which is the worlds largest manufacturer of vaccines, producing more the 1 billion doses of vaccines annually pre pandemic. This is where the current supply for Canada is coming from. Astra-zeneca is the second most used covid vaccine at the moment and is approved in 65 countries and is behind the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine is the most used and is approved in 75 countries. Millions of doses of each have been used so far.

Which vaccine is the best? The advise many of our Health Experts are giving in Canada is that the best vaccine is the one in your arm and not the one you might get in a month or two. Since I have the opportunity to get vaccinated about 6 weeks earlier than I otherwise would, I'll take the one they are going to put into my arm tomorrow, Indian made mircrochip and all. Maybe then I will understand the people calling me about my credit card, computer being hacked and needing my carpets cleaned, better than I can now.
