Thanks for the info on "realignment". I remember back in my early CB years having my radio's "peaked and tweaked", essentially maximizing the capability of the radio.

I'm sure it is a rare occcasion, but I did have to send a VHF in for an update, and honestly, I don't know if it was a software or firm ware update, but my Standard Horizon GX 2150 was one of the first to be installed along side an AIS B transceiver, (WatchMate Vision), and it was alarming my own boat as a "dangerous target" based on my MMSI generated proximity, :shock:
not on my docking ability :lol:
