Used Wallas Price?

Going to be doing some cabin modifications which will involve removing the current Wallas cooktop/heater. It is the singer burner type that came stock in the Cape Cruiser Ventures. I have never used it to cook on and only fired up a few times for heat. Going to add a Espar forced air with defrost.

I know the Wallas' are spendy new but what could one expect to get for a used, in working order, single burner cooktop/heater with control unit?

Thanks in advance,

Troy

Awesome, thank you.

That seem to be in a reasonable price range? Just found Scan Marine's 2014 price list, new 800 w/220 blower lid, $1,575.

The price you set will depend on if you want to sell it or just have it for sale. I mention this only because that model stove is marginal for heating needs even in a 22 or 23V. Scan Marine suggested that a two burner unit (DT) would be a much better selection.

A friend of ours removed an 800 from his tin boat (Northriver 22) because it just couldn't heat the cabin in cool weather.

Guess it depends on where you live and cruise or fish.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks guys!

I'll most likely list it for $500. Just want to help offset some of the cost of the Espar. Hoping to capitalize on some Boat Show promos.

It seemed to heat the cabin just fine but never got the windows good and wouldn't think it would get the v-berth too toasty. But to just heat a small cabin on chilly days it did the trick.

It works but I haven't had it serviced and don't know that the previous owners did. Scan Marine says $200-$300 to service depending on parts. I figure $500 would be fair since the recently serviced one for sale is at $800 in case somebody needed to service it in the near future.
