Re: unintended acceleration and VWs... as I mentioned before, we had several bugs and buses in our younger days. I got pulled over a time or twelve so some enthusiastic officer could check us out for a potential bust. Once, the officer came up to our bus and said, "I clocked you at 73 mph in a 65 zone back there,"... and all the while sniffing.
I laughed and said, "This bus couldn't go 73 mph... downhill... with the ass-end on fire!"
He looked inside, saw our young daughter and two Old English Sheepdogs, sniffed another time or two, decided there was "nothing funny" going on in there, and said something about, "It must have picked up a vehicle passing you. Well, you drive careful."
